Good morning mommies,

Wow, I can't believe it's already February!!!

Here are my workouts from last week:

Sun - 45 min treadmill climb
Mon - High Step Circuit
Tue - off
Wed - Body Fusion
Thu - 45 min treadmill climb
Fri - off
Sat - off

I was really trying to get in 5 workouts this week, but I was too busy Friday and Saturday, so I didn't get to it. But that's ok, I am not even cleared from my Dr. yet, so I am not stressing out about it. I have my 6 week post partum check up this coming Friday, yeah! :)

Little Miss Heidi is still sleeping 5-6 hours at night, which is wonderful! ;-)

We are going to a Super Bowl party tonight and I am excited to get out of the house. Yesterday we were at a Birthday Party. It is too funny, as soon as I get somethere, people just take away my baby and I don't get her back until we leave :p , everybody just wants to hold her and talk to her etc. I am sure it'll be the same thing tonight.

We finally cut and finished the video we took when I had her and I noticed how little she was and how much she already grew in 5 weeks, it's incredible.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and I am looking forward to hear from you.

Kristine :)

Hi Girls!:)

Well, I took the leap last Sat night and signed up for WW on line. I know what to do to lose weight but I wasn't doing it! So, I thought if I put some monet into it that I would follow a strutured plan.Anyway, this is only the second day but things are going great so far.

I think Rylan may be back to a better night time schedule. That last 2 nights he woke up at 4 to be feed.Much better then last weeks 1,3,5,7 thing he had going on.

Kristine, you got some good workouts in last week! I am going to try and follow Cathes Feb rotation. Im not sure how hard it will be b/c of time. Some of thhose workouts are pretty long. It would be easier if DH were home when I work out but it would also be nice if I could get it done in the morning and have the rest of the day to do other things.
I know what you mean about the baby growing. I can see such a difference without even looking back at pictures. He finally let me take some pictures of him smiling today so I am going to run out later and print them off.

Hi all! I don't think I've signed into the postpartum check before? Or if I did, it was very early days. I am feeling depressed about my weight gain - I have 45 pounds to lose. I signed up for ww online 3 weeks ago and so far have gained 2 pounds this past week! I don't know how that happened since I've been following it correctly. How do you all find time to do your workouts? I am bf:ing hourly during the day and she hates her swing (and won't go down for anything longer than a 20 min nap). I do workout 3 days a week right now but only b/c dh takes her for 45 minutes to allow me that time. I think this is going to take some major time to get back on track. I hope I can do it! I just feel defeated at the moment!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Annie

HI Annie,

I can see how you could feel down about your weight gain. I have 18 lbs to lose and Im not to impressed with that. And most time, when I have the time I perfer to have a nap as well.
When did you have your baby? Is this your second or first? I think the weight is harder to come off when it is your second. Actually, i weigh now what I did when I went into the hospital to have my daughter:eek:
I also signed up for WW and today is my 2nd day. I can't beleive I get another 10 points for breastfeeding and I am still hungry.
I try to work out but today I only did 1/2 of BM2 b/c he woke up. It would be much easier to workout in the evening when DH is home but the baby likes to cluster feed so I dont have 2-3 hours between feedings. But when he cluster feeds he sleeps better at night so tit for tat (pardon the pun!):)
Try not to get discouraged and hopefully you can soon get outside and get walking. But I know how you feel about not fitting into your clothes and feeling like you don't have any time to yourself. I think we will all get there in time.

Hi Everyone!
Sounds like we are all super busy, tired mommies! I've had a really tough night last night and day today. Poor Ryan is having a bad tummy and has slept very little all day today and been very fussy:( I'm worried he might be getting colic (his brother and sister also had colic as babies). So, we're saying our prayers that this is just a bad day for him and not 3 months of colic!

I'm pretty exhausted, but managed to get in a few light cardio workouts last week. I'm aiming for 20min cardio sessions for now and hopefully increase that to 30 minutes in the next month or so. Doing the best I can! I go in for my 6 week post partum check up next Wed. and after I get the okay from my doctor, will try to start adding in some light weight training as well. Just taking it day by day and trying to get 3-4 workouts in a week at this point. Here's what I was able to squeeze in last week:

Monday – Rest Day
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Postnatal Core Conditioning, Gentle First Moves (30 min)
Friday – Prevention Walk Yourself Fit (Cardio-25min)
Saturday – Elliptical & Stretch (15 min)
Sunday –Rest Day

Annie, hang in there and know that it does get easier as your baby gets bigger. I think the first 3 months are the toughest by far!
Kristine, awesome that Heidi is sleeping in such long blocks, that is such a blessing and also nice that your baby likes the swing. Ryan is not into it yet and prefers his Baby Bjorn front pack carrier most of all.
Lori, that's great you joined WW and good luck with the weight loss. I also have a chunk to lose! About 20 pounds is my goal and I imagine it'll take me a bit to lose it. I'm hoping once I can increase the intensity and duration of my workouts the pound will fall off.

Have a good week all and try to get some rest! ;)

Hi GIrls,

How is everyone feeling today? I think I got enough sleep last night. I went to bed at 11:30 and he woke at 2:30,5 and 8:45. I feel pretty good today.

When I was feeding him though, I noticed that I have some sort of strange lump above my right breast.Maybe one of my milk ducts is clogged? I guess it wouldn't hurt to put some warm clothes on it.Im also going to run by my friends house later, she is a nurse so maybe she will know what it is. And of course, Ill have to make an apt to see the doc.

Stacy, I hope Ryan is feeling better. I have come to learn that I can't drink coffee;( and just when I needed it most! It really did a number on him.

DH wants to go out tomorrow night for wings and stuff.Im a little unsure about leaving Rylan b/c he hasn't mastered the bottle yet and i just don't know if I want to go.He may be o.k b/c it could be between feeding but he may also be clustering feeding tomorrow evening and even if you had a cow in the house, you would run out of milk:eek:
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing o.k.
Lori:)

Good morning everyone!

Annie - Just hang in there! Three times a week is great and maybe you can go on walk with your little one. I know the weight thing is really frustrating at times, I guess because we all hoped it would just fall off right after we had the baby ;).

Stacey - I hope Ryan will be better soon and is not having colic!!!

Lori - Just play it by ear and see how the feeding is going, he probably will be fine. Enjoy the time out.

Ok, Heidi is squaking, I shall return.

Kristine :)

Hi Kristine,

The lump is gone now, which is a releif. I really didn't want to go to the Dr. I massaged it off and on all day so maybe I got rid of whatever it was.

I got all of LM in today! I was so happy! I forgot that that workout has 7 seg in it, I was thinking 4 or 5...when Cathe said 7, I was like...WTH? I don't have enough time for this. I put Rylan in his swing and he fell asleep during the 3 seg and he woke up right at the end.
Hoping to get another workout in tomorrow although my friend is comming to visit in the morning and I have some guy coming to take my blood work for life insurance after lunch.
Hope everyone had a good day and I will check back tomorrow.
Lori:)
