I thought I start this check-in because I sure miss the pregnancy check in and see how everybody is doing.
I am not working out yet, I am 2 1/2 weeks post partum and still trying to get adjusted to our newborn in the house. But I am getting pretty close wanting to do something ;-).
Heidi is doing great and I think she reached 8 lbs now. She is having a Dr.'s appointment today, so we'll see. Oh, I think she is awake, so I gotta go, but I'll be back.
So nice to hear from you and sounds like Heidi is doing great! Ryan had his doctor's appt. yesterday and he's weighing in at 7lb. 10oz. so almost to the 8lb mark He eats like a champ, and we're starting to see a bit longer stretches of sleep during the night, although I know it'll be a while before he can go all night. It's amazing how I've adjusted to waking up every 2-3hours in the middle of the night.
Physically, I'm feeling better/stronger every day and find myself anxious to start exercising again. I do want to wait for my 6 week check up to resume a normal cardio/weight training routine. So for now, just focusing on kegels for the pelvic floor, getting rest and lots of water. Also I have two postnatal dvd's (the new FitPregnancy postnatal dvd and one called BeFit Mom- postnatal core exercises). I got these for Christmas that have some gentle first exercise routines on them (mostly stretching, deep breathing and some beginning ab work). I'm doing alternating between these dvd's every other day.
Well, better go, Ryan is hungry! Can't wait to hear from everyone and enjoy your new little babies

This is the first chance I have had to check in...so glad to hear you and the babies are doing well! Olivia weighed in @ 9 lbs at our last visit last Friday. She's growing like a weed and averaging about .5 oz per day. We won't go back to the Dr. until her 6 week check-up and first round of shots, but I think she will be close to 10 lbs
I started my workout with two sessions of low max. The first day I only did about 15 mins and the second day about 45 mins, but I decided to use a post partum support belt, which worked really great! It's been tough (of course) to try to stick to any type of schedule, but I'm hoping to get in at least 3 cardio sessions a week and maybe start weights in a week or so. I'm not ready to test the waters with abdominal work yet...we'll see.
