Hi Girls,
Another sleepless night, but better than the night before. I found that loud music helps Aidan to go sleep. He must be going through a growth spurt b/c he can't get enough to eat! I am off to the pediatrician for his 2-week check-up. Hope all is well!

Morris-So nice to "see" you here! I can't post daily either, but I am trying to get this started most days;).

Hi ladies!
Jen-- Sorry about your sleepless night. Charlie has been doing better since I started leaving the ceiling fan on low (because of a new SIDS study I read that said fans can reduce SIDS incidents...), turned out all of the lights and play the sound machine's white noise pretty loud. The white noise is annoying to me, but it seems to help him sleep! Maybe tonight will be better for you! How are you feeling? Did the gas ease up? I've had lots of gas pain today, which is odd considering it's been almost three weeks and this is the first time I've had pain because of it. Ugh. Maybe it's a sign that my tummy FINALLY is deflating!

Kate--How's Julia?

Candra--How's Ryder??

Trish--Any news??

Hi to Lisa, Morris, Maggie, Kristan, Melanie, and everyone else I may have missed. Brain cells aren't there today.

So, all of you c-section ladies, have you had any incision oozing? Mine started bleeding a little last night. Nothing serious. Just looks like a couple of little pin pricks along the incision line. I'm not going to call my doc unless the area gets inflamed or starts really bleeding badly. But I never had this problem with my last c-section. Though I have been doing A LOT more this time around with laundry, dinner, housework, errands, etc. DH took an abs class at his company's gym yesterday during lunch. A 10-minute abs class. He complained all night about how he pulled a muscle. (i.e. DOMS from doing planks, which he NEVER has done before)... Poor thing. I felt like saying, "Yeah, I just got my abdominal wall and uterus cut open three weeks ago so a nearly 8 lb child could be pulled out, and I'm not complaining..." Ladies, this is why WOMEN have the babies in the world. :)

OK, I hear Charlie fussing. Short nap. Hope everyone is doing well and oohing and ahhing over their little miracles. I know I am!!! Hugs!

ETA: Morris, I love the name Finn! That was what I wanted to name Charlie. Finnigan and call him Finn. But DH wouldn't budge. Is your Finn a Finnigan or a Finnley or a Finneas? :( Love the name Chalrie though, so it was a good compromise!

Stephanie - LOL about DH and his ab class!

Jen - How long are you going to take off from work/school?

Morris!! Hi there!!! So good to "see" you. I'm still very preggers, but in about a little more than a week I should be post partum. Way to go on the running and prepg weight! I could use that inspiration once I give birth.

You ladies are preparing me mentally for the newborn/baby schedule. It's been awhile for me so it's like starting all over again. My youngest is six so you can imagine how long it's been. Anyway, looking forward to joining you gals when I'm really pp!

Lisa

MOrris, Glad to see you and to hear that all is goign well. Good luck when DH is gone - hope you have some help lined up!

Busy day here, feeling a little overwhelmed / guilty I don't have lots fo time for the older girls. I didn't get to see Gina much before she got on the bus - that's really hard for me.
No time for persoanls now, will try to get back later tonight when Julia does her "I need to nurse for 2 hours straight" thing.

Hope everyone is havign a good PP day!

HI everyone. Congratulations to all of you with your new babies! I think I missed the announcements.

Stephanie- my incisions have itched but not oozed. Call your dr. to be sure. As for activity, I usually push myself a little harder than I should. I think 2 weeks post partum I did IMAX3 CARDIO ONLY on a 4" board. No, I did not do any intervals! I also walked a little and did the GYmStyle legs- floor only.

Last night I had a little time to run at the girls' soccer practices. I ran 2.5 miles in about 25 minutes. I know many of you run way faster than that, but that is fast for me,especially with the major hills in the park. I then did about 15 minutes of bicep/tricep from 4DS.

Does anyone else use mapmyrun.com? I LOVE that thing.

i just am starting to get back into my cathe dvds:eek:-other than that i have just been doing some walks. So i could stand to knock off the last 10 to 15 lbs!!

Kate--Just wanted to send you hugs. No need to feel guilty. I know you are a wonderful mom. Gina knows it too. I'm sure she's so over the moon about her little sister that she doesn't notice the time you're missing. I had such tremendous guilt when Henry was born and I had to "ignore" Oliver, but he never even noticed. I think that WE miss them more than they miss us or notice how busy we are. At this point in time, it's about quality of time with the older kids, not quantity of time. And I'm sure you give your girls the BEST quality time! :)

Kristan--Yey on the run! I don't run unless someone is chasing me, so that sounds like a very fast time to me. :p I am itching to work out and thought I was really ready to do a beginner step DVD of Cathe's, but then the oozing began. Ick. I may call my doc tomorrow. My mother will be here, and she'll nag me until I do.

Lisa--Are you being induced? When is your due date? I know you're SOOO excited!!! Glad we're preparing you for pp! I have found that this time around is SOOOO much easier. I think I had really overly prepared myself to be totally sleep deprived so much so that three hours of sleep at a time seems like an eternity!! DS number 2 didn't sleep AT ALL, so three hours IS like an eternity!! :) What are you expecting? I know you've probably said, but I forget everything these days. I've called Charlie Henry about a dozen or more times. The other morning Henry actually yelled at me and said, "Mommy, quit calling him MY name!!!" OOps.

Well, better go now. Almost feeding time!

need to be brief........just wanted to say a big thanks to Stephanie. I really needed your kind words. for whatver reason i'm having a really hard time emotionally today. it meant a lot.

hello angela! i'm not usually such a downer..... congrats on your new one!

bbl........

Kate - ((HUGS)) Hope you feel better. I remember being an emotional wreck after giving birth with my first.

Stephanie - My due date is Nov. 3, but if I don't go on my own, my dr. will induce me after 39 weeks. The best date that worked out was Oct. 30 so that's the target date unless I go into labor prior, but I don't think so. I don't know the gender. It will be a surprise. I'm so glad to hear that it's easier for you this time around. I hope the same happens for me!

Before I forget, I have one ds, age 9 and one dd, age 6 and this one will be our third. Better get going. I have to finish up work stuff and then organize some more at home. Not much time left!
