Good Morning Moms:)

How is everyone doing? Im happy to report that Rylan is still sleeping better!!! YAAAAHOOOO!! He only wakes me once at night to feed him and that could be 5 in the morning. I feel so much more rested.
Rylan had is 4 month check up on Wed and his shots:-( But they weren't to bad. I rattled the car keys for the first needle and he didn't even seem to notice it and he was even laughing in between shots...but on the second one he cried a little. The nurse said that the needle is the same size but the medicine stings. He felt a little warm on Thursday morning but thats the only reaction he had from it. He now weighs 15 lbs and is 24.5 inches long:)

My workouts were good again this week. He just sits in his swing and watches me. I usually time it around his nap time so I know he will go to sleep while Im working out or he will nap in his crib and if he wakes before I finished then I will bring him down with me while I finish.

Sun: Imax 1
Mon: GS Tri,Chest,& LM & abs
Tues: 4 Run and abs
Wed: GS B,B,S & C&W
Thurs:5 mile run & abs (walk in the afternoon)
Fri: B&G A.M & 6 Mile run in afternoon
Sat: CTX and MM Bic,Tri,and shoul

The weather as been awful so I haven't been able to get out for any walks!!!
I also uploaded some pics new of me and the little guy if anyone wants to take a look-see.

Have a good week everyone,
Lori:)

Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well!! Olivia is doing well. She also received her shots last week :-( and she was a very unhappy camper. Long after the tears stopped she continued to scream...I can only imagine what she would be saying if she could really speak!

Lori - I'm going to try leaving Olivia in the swing while I work out. I usually get up early in the morning while she's sleeping, but on the weekends I would like to sleep in. How long are you normally able to go for before Rylan wants to be picked up?

Here are my workouts for last week:

Sun: PUB & abs
Mon: PLB & CMX 1
Tues: Low Max CMX 2
Wed: GS BBS
Thurs: SB & abs
Fri: Off
Sat: Off

Have a great week!

Trish

Hi mommies,

Glad to hear that you are all doing well.

Lori - That's wonderful that Rylan is sleeping so well for you now. I looked at the pictures and he is such a cutie pie!!!! And you look absolutely great!!!! I have the same swing for Heidi and she loves it. I put her in their as well when I workout and she likes looking at me jumping up and down and falls asleep after a while.

Trish - You are doing great with your workouts! I am going to Heidi's 4 month appointment this Friday and her second set of shots. Oh, I am not looking forward to that. Heidi was screaming like crazy last time x( ;( :-( .

Here are my workouts from last week:

Mon - off (could not get myself going all day, so I took an unscheduled rest day)
Tue - Core Synergistics
Wed - Cardio X
Thu - Arms and Shoulders and Ab Ripper X
Fri - Yoga X
Sat - off (was running around at the Mayfest all day, does that count as a workout ;-) )
Sun - off (was doing so much running around and did not get to workout, I was not a happy camper!!!)

I am having some trouble breastfeeding Heidi and I never had any problems with her at all, no engorgement, no sore nipples, nothing, she was always are great nurser. But since 3 weeks, she pulls away after a short while of nursing and is screaming, so I switch her to the other one and the same thing will happen after a while, not each time I feed her, but almost. I tried almost everything, different position, no bottles at night, quiet dark room etc. I read about nursing strikes, but I didn't think that they would last for weeks and she still is eating so she is not completely striking. Sure hope to get some answers from the Dr. on Friday. I was planning on breastfeeding her at least for 6 months.

Lori - How long are you planning on breastfeeding Rylan? Do you have any problems?

Other than that she is doing well. She now likes to spit all the time when she talks and giggles and cues all day long. She is so cute and I can tell how fast she is growing. Time to go buy some bigger clothes ;-) .

Alright ladies, going to make me some lunch, but I will be back later.

Kristine :)

Trish, I usually put him in his swing when he is ready for a nap in 15-30 mins. He will sit there for a while. Actually, I don't think I have ever had to take him out before I was finished working out but if he as a nap, by the time he wakes, I am close to being finished.

Kristine, I have never had a problem with him nursing but sometimes I wonder how much milk he is actually getting b/c there doesn't seem to be much in there. And b/c he is sleeping for longer periods he drains both sides when he wakes. I have been really hungry the last couple of days and I wonder if thats why. Maybe my body is busy making more milk then usual b/c he is draining both instead of just one. Do you notice a decrease in your milk? It almost seems as if she is crying b/c she isnt getting anything...could that be possible? Im hoping to breastfed until Aug...anything after that will just be a plus:)

Hi everyone!
You are all doing so great with your workouts and it sounds like all the babies are doing wonderfully as well!

Ryan goes in for his 4month shots tomorrow and I'm anxious to see what he weighs and how long he is, he sure has grown! He is a good sleeper and so sweet!! :)

Had an awful time with workouts last week and was pretty bummed out about it:( Just not a good week for me and I had a migraine for several days which didn't help. I managed to do 3 workouts:

Monday – Elliptical Intervals (30min)
Tuesday – Cathe F. Body Fusion (50min)
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Rest Day
Sunday – Outdoor Walk (30min)

This week I'll do better and am aiming for 5 again. Working out at night after the kids go to bed (usually can start by 8pm) is really good for me and I look forward to it.

Lori, awesome workouts and you look fantastic! Your Rylan is adorable!!!

Trish, sounds like Olivia is doing great and I hear you with the shots! I'm not looking forward to those either tomorrow, and on top of that, my 5 yr. old has to get his pre-kindergarten shots. Should be a lovely time at the doctors!!

Kristine, sorry to hear the breastfeeding has slowed down a bit, hope it's just a phase. Mine have all been bottle fed, so I am not the best person for advice on that! I unfortunately had a terrible time breastfeeding with the first two, so decided to just bottle feed Ryan. It's worked out well for us.

Okay ladies, hope you all have a fantastic week and good workouts. Funny thing, I have lost another pound (whoo hoo!), which surprised me because I wasn't as active last week. Maybe it was stress. So, only 8lbs. to go. Wish me luck!! ;) Take care.

Kristine - I just checked out your workouts for last week - AWESOME! How do you like the Tony Horton DVDs? I only do Cathe and I'm thinking about mixing it up a little bit. Do you have the whole collection? Also, I had a similar breastfeeding issue with Olivia about 6 or 7 weeks ago. She just would not stay on the breast and would start to scream and cry. I was very concerned because I never had a problem with breastfeeding and called La Leche League for help. The woman I spoke to said that it sounded like Olivia just wasn't very hungry and not to panick and sure enough, a day or two later, she was back to her normal routine. Hopefully it will be the same for Heidi. I am just ending breastfeeding with Olivia :(. After returning to work my milk supply just seemed to slowly dry up even though I pumped every day. SIGH! I think I'm more depressed about it than she is...she drinks up the formula without a problem.

Lori - I'm definitely going to try the swing this weekend :) Thanks.

Stacey - Hope the shots went ok!!

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Hi!

Kristine, are you doing the px90 dvds? my sister has them and says they are really good. I'm at an intermediate level, would they be too advanced for me?

Also, do you all have Cathe's new Low Impact Circuit dvd? Would that be a good next purchase as I'm really starting to feel more comfortable with basic Step/Body Fusion and Low Impact Step. I'm slowly trying to work my way up with Cathe.

I'm actually thinking about following the last 3 weeks of Cathe's beginner rotation starting next week and see if I can shed these last few pounds. Would love to hear your advice.

Ryan did great with his shots yesterday and so did my soon to be kindergartener! Glad those are done with!!

Happy mid-week mommies, give those babies a hug for me;)

Hi mommies,

Trish - Mmh, maybe that's what it is, Heidi is just not very hungry. She has enough wet diapers, so I am sure she is getting enough milk. I am going to the Dr. tomorrow for her 4 month appointment and see what he says.
Sorry to hear that you are at the end of breastfeeding :-( , it is such a wonderful bonding experience. I will try to breastfeed Heidi at least until she is 6 months old.

Yes, I have P90X, got it last year in December for my birthday or should I say it was a birthday present from myself ;-).
I am doing the Lean Rotation, I thought the extra cardio would be good right now to get rid of the pregnancy weight.
I was ready for a change and this is great. I really like Tony Horton and they are fun workouts, but sometimes tough, especially the 90 min Yoga X workout }( .
It is also nice to follow a rotation, so you know what workout is coming up and it helps me to stick with it.

Stacey - The P90X workouts are probably a little advanced, but you might wanna look at them and see. You can modify quite a bit, which I do :p .
I love Low Impact Circuit DVD. Yes, that is probably a good one to go with next. Maybe the workout in it's whole would be quite hard, but there are nice premixes and you can work up to the level of the whole workout this way. I always did the Cardio Blast timesaver premix then I was pregnant and just skipped the blasts. So you could do that and when add them after a while. There are also just the weight premixes, so I think you would really like that workout. I would say go for it.

Ok, gotta go Ms. Heidi is wanting my attention.

Kristine :)

Hi Kristine!
Thanks for all the good workout info. I think what I'll do is borrow a couple of my sister's PX90 dvd's and just preview them to see if I think it's something doable. I'm thinking at this point I might wait until I'm at a more advanced fitness level (hopefully after this summer).

I decided I will buy the LIC dvd, but will wait a few months until I've done the last half of Cathe's beginner rotation, and try to work on increasing intensity by using heavier weights and adding another riser to my step. I also have the new Shape Transforming workout that is really fun as well as the new Firm Bootcamp dvd and a new Crunch pilates dvd. Lot's to keep me busy and I plan on getting outside to walk with my kiddos and hubby a lot too.

Okay, sorry for the long drawn out explanation, afraid I'm a bit of a planner!! :7

Have a great weekend, we're going to get out and enjoy this weather for sure:)

Happy Mother's Day early everyone!!!! ;)
