Happy Memorial DAy! HOpe everyone's enjoying their free day off!

This week was good, as DH managed to stay out of hospital. We had a rollercoster of events occur...but my runs kept me mentally stable. I"m so fortunate that my kids are so healthy and strong. DH seems to be better now. Not sure if he's healed (by the power of prayer) or in some sort of remission? Time will tell.

As far as workouts go?

Sun: 45 min jog
Mon: 45 min jog
Tue: TJ cardio party 1
Wed: 45 min jog
Thurs: TJ cardio party 3
Fri: 45 min jog
Sat: off

Jadon has begun to eat solid foods. He's just turned 6 months & has begun crawling already. He pulls himself to a standing position and I fear he'll be a young walker (my 2nd son walked at 8 mos). He's having fun laughing and bonding with his 2 year old brother. It's so cute!!

I"m going for a run in the mid90 degree weather in Minnesota here today. Yeah!! Slippery wet with sweat here I come!!!

Hello. We've been at the pool all weekend. My week was actually okay despite last week's decision to slow down:

M: run after work/run stairs
T: Supersets
W: StepBlast
Th: 2.5 mile walk, Brand New Butt leg work
F; nothing
Sat: nothing
Sun: 4 1/3 mile run

SunnyDelite- my arms are just not meant to be defined. Even at my thinnest weight they were blah. So I just hope for functional arms.

Melanie- glad to hear you're sharing in this early summer warmth. It's hot.

We're off to Florida on Friday so I probably won't do too much this week. I am hoping to get in a few short walks, Power Intervals (from CTX) and maybe Rythymic Step before we leave. The girls (5 and 3) are so excited and as am I. We're taking a lot more stuff this year with all of our baby junk for Gus. Our van will be full. I even got a rooftop carrier to stuff more junk in.

On vacation, I am going to try daily walking and yoga. We'll see how committed I start to that.

Hi everyone! My workouts are still minimal as little Ashley not even 2 weeks old. I did buns of steel postpartum tape twice during the week and walked twice to in laws house-1/2 mile each way. I also did the first section of cindy crawford's a new dimension once.

Alexis is doing great with Ashley. She is so excited by her little sister. Ashley sems much easier than Alexis did at that age, she wakes every 2 hours but quickly nurses and goes back to sleep. Today hubby took Alexis and I took Ashley for her first trip to the mall. Got some cute clothes for her. All my 0-3 month clothes are too big for her so I needed the tiny carters NB clothes.

I have 9-10 pounds to lose but at least 3 of it is nursing boob, I am sure! I am lucky total weight gain was 21.5 pounds, less than with my first pregnancy.

Mel, glad hubby is doing better. Wow, Justin is already 6 months old!

Shopaholic, 10lbs will shed off of you in no time with nursing. I had double, maybe triple that to lose with last pg...and I lost it within 3 months...and so will you!!
Are you sending me any new pictures of Ashley? I"m eager to see her. Any resemblence to her older sister (and moma)?

Kristin, do you go to FL every year?!?! We were going to go on a 10hr road trip Memorial Day weekend, but decided agaist it b/c DH medical ailments. My mom & dad still haven't seen Jadon yet! :( I feel so sad for them b/c he brings us so much joy.

Mel,hopefully I'll have pics soon. Ashley looks just like her sister did, tiny with lots of dark hair. Sorry you cancelled your trip. I am not worried about my weight gain. As of today, 8 pounds to go, all belly and boob!

Hello ladies

I got in three workouts, and I'm happy with that for now:

Monday: elliptical 40 min

Tues-Thurs: life

Friday: elliptical 45 min

Saturday: went to the pool, does that count - I walked there

Sunday: lower body weight at gym : 45 min, 10 min level 12-14 on elliptical

Weight is the same, legs seem stronger. I achieved a new accomplishment, I squatted with 50 over my head free weight w/barbell !!! While I can squatt heavier than that on a machine I've never put that much over my head. I felt a little bit like Sheera. }(

Melanie~ great workouts! I can't believe Jadon's pulling up and all! Miriam ****hates**** her belly, does not roll over, does not sit alone (though she likes it if you prop her), and for sure doesn't pull up! In some ways I'm glad I can just put her down and not worry about her being mobel, but I'd like her to crawl, it seems like so much fun ;)

Shopaholic~ lookin good! 8 lbs isn't bad at all!

Kristan~ you had a good week with your cool off!

Hi ladies,

last week, i started working with gymstyles. so i am alternating weight training and cardio days. I am concentrating on leaning out and gaining muscle definition. While at ds #1's preschool graduation a recent mother told me i looked so great, i inspired her to workout!! what a compliment.:)

Melanie-glad to hear dh is doing better. hopefully jadon will get to see his grandparents soon.

Julie- you are superwoman!!

kristan-enjoy your vacation. i am jealous:p

Shopaholic-congratulations on your daughter!!

both of my sons are doing great!!! Jaden is now 19lbs and 30 inches long, WOW:D

RE: Postpartum check-in May 27th

Hi Ladies,

My little Nathaniel (Nate) was born May 9 and weighed 7lbs 10oz. and 21 inches long. He is the sweetest little soul. Nate is my fourth boy and this pregnancy was so different from my other three (much harder). I was not able to exercise as much, renovated my house & made it through hockey season! Needless to say, I have serious work ahead of me.
Look forward to getting to know all of you.

workouts
Sun- Walk
Mon-3 mile walk
Tues-Shape toning/ cardio
Wed- Shape cardio
Thur-Tae bo
Fri off
Sat. walk

Mel- I would love to see some of your smoothie recipes.

RE: Postpartum check-in May 27th

This is how I make smoothies:

1 cup fruit juice
1 cup plain yogurt (or the kind you like, you don't need flavored)
1 cup or more of frozen fruit

blend :) makes 2 smoothies worth

I don't add ice, but you can, I just add enough frozen fruit to get the consistancy I want. There are smoothie "cook books" out there. I have one, and it's fun, but usually I just want a quicky one.

You can add granola to it for a more "meal" like feel

Have fun :)
