Post Partum Check In May 20

Good morning mommies,

Hey, I get to start the check in!!! How are you all doing?

Heidi and I are doing well. She really is enjoying getting some real food and she loves her cereal. So far I have given her carrots (which she liked) and sweet potatoes (which she loves) and she is getting better at eating every day. She looks like a little bird when she opens her mouth. :)
Went to a friends house on Saturday and stayed kinda late, so now Heidi is messed up with her nap schedule, so I am hoping to get her back on track today ;) .
We bought her a high chair yesterday. I know, it's still a little early, but it might be ok to feed her right quick and when take her right back out.
She is still working hard on rolling over, but still no success. ;)

Here are my workouts from last week:

Mon - Core Synergistics
Tue - Cardio X and 30 min treadmill walk
Wed - Arms, Shoulders and Triceps, 20 min treadmill walk and Abs from Ab Hits
Thu - Yoga with Steve Ross
Fri - Legs and Back (did not work my abs x( )
Sat - SM #2
Sun - Kenpo X

The scale is still not moving but DH said I am getting smaller and my pants are getting looser too, so that's good. Maybe my body just wants to hold on to the extra due to nursing ;) (well, that's what I am telling myself, hehe).

Ok ladies, Heidi wants my attention, but I will check back later
Kristine :)

Hello everyone!

Kristine, awesome workouts, looks like you had a great week last week. So happy to hear Heidi is doing well and liking her solids:)

Ryan has been having his rice cereal now for about two weeks and I'm going to start him on oatmeal in the morning for something new. I also picked up some baby food veggies (peas and green beans) that I'll introduce in the next week or two. He is eating well and seems to really like new food. His napping is going pretty well and I'm wondering if he's in a growth spurt, sleeping nice long naps in the morning. He has also slept through the night now pretty much the whole last week.

Workouts and eating are going well, except yesterday when I just kind of pigged out! Oh well, today is a new day. I did get 5 workouts in last week, and aiming for 6 this week. I'm noticing that Cathe's beg/interm. workouts are getting easier for me to do and so I'm going to try increasing weights and raising my step height up for a challenge. I still have 7lbs. to lose but feel much stronger and leaner. I think those last few pounds should come off in the next few months. I was thinking I might reward myself once I lose it with Cathe's Low Impact Circuit dvd and maybe a pair of new workout shorts or something.

Okay, here's what I did last week:

Monday – Elliptical Intervals
Tuesday – Outdoor Walk & Total Body Sculpting (Upper & Lower)
Wednesday – Low Impact Step
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Body Fusion
Saturday – Rest Day
Sunday – 10 Minute Solution Pilates

Hope you all have a great week and give those babies a hug:)

Hi Stacey,

Looks like you had a good workout week as well, that's great!!

Isn't it nice when they sleep through the night? I am so blessed with Heidi and her sleeping through the night so early.

Aren't they too cute when they eat ;-) ?

Nice incentive of buying the LIS when you lost the last pounds. Maybe I need something like that, but the problem is, I already got all Cathe workouts and there are no other workouts I would like at this point. But Cathe mentioned something about more workouts this year. Can't wait!

Hi Kristine!
Sleeping through the night is so awesome, I literally feel like a different person when I can get solid blocks of sleep! I also enjoy it when babies can eat solid foods, think it really helps with their sleeping as well.

Yes, I think it really helps me to have a prize at the end of my goal:) Even if it's something small.

Good idea about getting some of Cathe's new workouts once they're released, I'm very curious what the kickboxing workouts will be like. I love kickboxing, and could probably handle it if it can be modified to a high intermediate level.

Okay, have a good afternoon;)

Hey Mommies:)

Sounds like everyone is doing good! I had a pretty long post ready to post and my computer decided to get rid of itx( So now I have to start all over again and try to remember what I posted.

Rylans sleeping is getting better. I went to my parents house for the weekend and his sleeping schedule was a little off and he was going to bed alittle later BUT he would sleep until 6 in the morning and I guess you could call that sleeping through the night:) I also started him on baby food, which he enjoys but he didn't poop for 3 days and I was wondering if he was a little young so I cut back and now he is just eating cereal again. Plus he wasn't nursing as often and I want to get as much milk in him as possible.

My eating wasn't good this weekend. Partly b/c i was bored and partly b/c I didn't care! LOL I knew I couldn't do to much damage in 3 days so I will get back on track tomorrow.

My workouts were also good this week, here is what I did:

Sun: 8 mile run and abs/ walk in p.m
Mon: DM
Tues: 45 Min run/ 50 min walk
Wed: C&T premix/ timesaver C&T/ C&W
Thurs:50 min walk/ 45 Min run/ Timesaver Bic,Sho,core and back
Fri: BM2
Sat: 60 min run (hills)

I ran outside while staying at my parents house and there are alot of hills out there. I was so sore the next day! I also know I walked more then that last week, I just can't remember when.

I will check back some time this week. Hope everyone as a good week. I will also get Rylan weighed this week...Im thinking he weighs around 16 lbs now.

Lori:)
