Hi all you mommies,
Congrats to all you new mommies.

We are doing well despite a little fussiness right now as I type. She is waking to nurse at night every 2-3 hours but goes back to sleep. She got baby acne which Alexis had too. Hard to believe she is already 5 weeks old. I have those stubborn last 5-6 pounds left to lose. I have gradually been increasing my workout intensity.

Workouts:
Sun-TJ turbo sculpt+TJ cp1
Mon-cia cardio crazy -cardio only + cia two jammin workouts hi/lo
+walk to the park(3.2 miles)
Tues-walk to the park+jari love get ripped and tae bo ult, bootcamp
Wed-lowmax +cardio kick quickfix-core+ walk to the park
Thurs-bodyfusion + walk to the park and crunch resculpt
Fri-rythymic step
Sat-muscle endurance

wow! i hope i can do all that in a few weeks. those 5-6 lbs will be gone in no time. i have about 11 lbs to lose, but the number probably isn't quite right as i am sure i have lost muscle mass too. the funny thing is, not only don't i care quite so much, i feel pretty good about how i look (at this particular moment:)) b/c it is so different than before.

right now i am just trying to walk every day on the treadmill, do some crunches and situps, and see what happens. i have developed some post partum pre eclampsia - my blood pressuer is higher than it has ever been. i feel great despite the hypertension, but i am waiting for my dr's okay.

finn is amazing. such a good eater, and so incredibly beautiful. one day/feeding at a time right now for me.

That's a fantastic week!

Mine was okay; spent the whole weekend doing some serious gardening. I know it counts as 'moderate' activity, but I really wanted to get a run in. Oh well.

Monday: long, hot, hard run
Tuesday: gym for 1 hour
Weds: Cardio and Weights
Thurs: step from SJP, On the Ball Pilates

That's it. THe weekend was spent swimming with kids and planting perennials. FOr all you gardening buffs, we redid our courtyard garden after cutting down a cruddy soft maple. I put in knock out shrub roses, black eyed susans, lavender, russian sage, Alaska daisies, veronica, sedum, tall phlox and purple coneflowers. I also moved around a bunch of stuff, like all of my hostas (too much sun after the tree came down).

Morris, glad the Finn is doing well. I am sure you did not lose muscle mass! You will see significant weight loss in the next week as you lose fluids and uterus shrinks back.
Mary, glad you are doung well. It still makes me laugh that your son was born 3 inches bigger than my daughter! She too is lasting 3 hours at night instead of 2.
Kristen, we'll count gardening as exercise, you are doing great!

I had my 6 week check up today. Got the green light for high impact! Somehow i weighed less today than yesterday and actually weighed in at only 4 pounds higher than my baseline. Even the doc remarked that I must be at baseline and was suprised than I am usually even thinner. I still have a bit of the mommy tummy.

Ashley is doing well but I may call her doc tomorrow since she seems to have gunk on 1 eye. She is definitey filling out but is still in her 0-7 pound clothes! She developed baby acne but dd#1 had it too.

Everyone is doing AWESOME! Yahoo! We're so blessed to have such perfect & healthy babies, aren't we?

Baby Jadon is now 7 months old. He's doing great. He's about 16lbs now, and is in 3-6mos clothes still. He's really long though, in the 80% (just like my oldest son was). Still no teeth, but lots of drool. He wakes up a couple of times in middle of night to feed (we still co-sleep). His older brother just climbed out of his crib...so now baby Jadon will have his own (much deserved) crib. ;)

I"ve been doing lots and lots of running. About 30 miles/week now. I ran my 2nd 5K this past weekend & actually came in first place! It was my best time to date, which is pretty exciting. 25 min & 28 seconds, for all you running moms. To shed this into light, there were only 7-10 people in my age group & 40 runners total. This was a huge show for our little town. In July I plan to run a 10K, I"m pretty excited as this is my 2nd attempt at a 10K (my first one was when I was 8 weeks pregnant with baby #2).

Okay, enough babbling. Have a great week!

Hello to all Mommies!! Keep up the good work and Congratulations on your new little ones.

Way to go Melanie! Great job on your 5K. I'm sure you will do great on your 10K too. I officially signed up Tuesday for the 10K here on July 4th and yesterday I picked up the race packet. I'm excited and nervous. This is my very first race.

Here are my workouts from last week:

Monday - PUB up & PLB up on my own
Tuesday - Ran 4 miles
Wednesday - Imax 2 intervals 1-5 & Muscle Max LB only premix
Thursday - Ran 4 miles
Friday & Saturday - Rest
Sunday - Ran 6 miles

Tuesday night I noticed DD has 2 bottom teeth that has broken through to the surface. These are her first. I guess with all the ear infections and pain she had been under continously for the first 8 months of her life cutting teeth must not be too painful for her. We had no idea she was teething even though I knew she should at any time. She doesn't even drool more than normal.

Have a great week!

Hi all!

Well, we're moved into our new home - it was an ugly transaction - we were actually living in a hotel for a week while the lawyers tried to sort things out. Glad it's over, and we can get started getting settled in. The house is beautiful, or WOULD be if it had been taken care of. It's been sadly neglected and needs lots of TLC. Can't believe how filthy it is - I've spent the past few days just cleaning. We are actually vacuuming the walls and ceilings to get rid of the cobwebs! We've got most everything in the garages until I can get the rooms clean enough to move in properly. The girls are still adjusting - too many changes, I think. We have a pool, now, so they have enjoyed that. It's been raining lots since we moved in - flooding in the area, but not us, luckily. We're just on a "boil water" order due to contaminated processing stations.

Haven't worked out, but have done lots of heavy cleaning. My workout area is going to be one of the garages, so I have to get all the boxes in there unpacked so I can workout! Talk about motivation :) :) :)

Glad to be back in touch with this board - need to 'hear' some familiar friendly voices!

Kristan - what kind of camera do you use? Your pictures are absolutely beautiful!! You have a beautiful family, too - looks like an advertisement for beach living! Makes me want to reserve a house there...we were going to pass on it for this year, with the move and all, but now I may have to see what we can do... :)

Hugs to all - I'll read back thru and catch up as soon as I can.

Happy 4th of July to everyone - especially these days. Have a great weekend!

KC
