Hi everyone,
Congrats Linda !
Morris, are you really already running?
Mary, glad you can resume your workouts.
Mel, I started a toddlers check in that is getting lost.
Hi to all you other sleep deprived mommies.

Ashey weighed in at 8 pounds 3 ounces as of last week. I am about 4-5 pounds away from my baseline weight. I actually found a cute tankini yesterday that looked good on me. Ashley has a few nights of staying up for an hour or more and is awaking every 2-3.5 hours at night. Her baby acne though is looking better.

Mon-firm supercharged sculpting+express thighs+jiggle free arms
Tues-Imax 2+ walk to the park
Wed-HS adv. +bootcamp upper and cardio and Kathy s. funct. fit lower-workout 2
Thurs-Imax 3
Fri-hardcore high step

Sat-action packed -hi/lo +hi/lo and abs from interval express

I thought my week was good until I saw Shopaholic's! Very intense.

Welcome to all the new moms and congratulations.

Thanks for the kind words regarding our vacation pictures. My husband is an art director/graphic designer so every picture has likely been tinkered with. If only he airbrush off 10 pounds or so of every picture of me.

We're spending a lot of time at the pool and had a very nice 4th of July. My garden is filling in nicely.

My week:
Monday- run 3.5 miles with stairs
Tuesday- gym for one hour (mostly cardio)
Weds- BodyMax step and circuit (I think this one is so hard)
Thurs- run 3.5 miles, pushing older kids in stroller
Fri- Body max arms/abs
Sat- swim 1/2 mile
Sun- nothing

When did everone begin exercising after birth? I am two weeks post partum and feeling really good although very sleep deprived. I did not tear or have an episiotemy. I only had a 6 hour labor.

I did the Lowmax blasts two days ago and feel fine. I did 6 not 8 inches though. I want to try some weight training soon. I think I will wait until my six week check to run or horseback ride.

Rachel, at 2 weeks postpartum I started back with walks and easy tapes. I gradually increased workouts from weeks 2-6 and waited for my 6 week check up to resume high impact.
Kristi, your workouts do look intense! A run with 2 kids, how tiring! I have cranked up my workouts to help lose those last stubborn pounds.

Mom to Alexis born 9/12/03 and Ashley born 5/19/06.

shopaholic, where do you find the energy? the time? you are amazing!

rachel, are you feeling good? my doc said once my blood pressure was okay i could do what i wanted, but said i may bleed. so far this week i have done kpc and running close to 5 miles and no bleeding.

kristan, how old are your kids?

i am not sure i can remember last week at this point. finn eats every 1.5-3 hours, and i am tired, but i have started a routine of exercising in the morning around 5 am after he eats and he seems to want to sleep again. if i can bribe dh, i take the dog running outside. otherwise, finn and i go to the basement and do a dvd. he promptly falls asleep to the music. yesterday i tried to do an extra session, but he wanted none of that - we decided it must not be that important.

sun - walk 30min on treadmill with incline, 20 min abs and pushups
mon - off b/c of hypertension
tues - 25 min walk with dh - slow!
weds - good bloodpressure check! walk 40 min treadmill hill, 30 min abs pushups and squats
thurs - step blast no blast
fri - 30 min treadmill walk, legs and glutes
sat - 40 min treadmill walk, pushups and crunches

i am back running this week and am hoping it won't take too long to get where i used to be with distance. everything feels so different now that i am not carrying finn. i have 5lbs to lose, but i am mainly focusing on feeding my little guy and getting as much rest as possible.

quick question to anyone who has had a baby under 8 lbs: i have a baby biourn but the package says they must be 8lbs and 21 inches. finn is now 6lbs 5 oz and 19.5 inches as of his 2 week checkup today. any other carriers i could use in the meantime? have a great week!
