Merry Christmas fellow mommies! We certainly are all blessed beyond belief, and can praise our Savior this holiday!!

I'm about 4 weeks ppd now. I could not wait any longer, I had to jump into a routine this week. I looked at my notes from last pregnancy & I had already lost all my pg wt & was wearing my jeans 3 wks ppd with last pg. I think the wt is holding on longer b/c it hasn't been that long since I was pg last? I also didn't workout as hard w/this pg due to back pain & severe insomnia. Whatever the case, I WANT IT GONE!!! I especially want it gone before I go back to work, or I'll have to buy a whole new wardrobe!!!!

I have 12 lbs to lose, and a couple of inches on waist, thighs, & abdomen. Goal is 6 weeks.

I did Tubro Jam's this week to ease back into things. Felt light as a feather!!

Sun: Turbo Jam 20min cardio
Mon: Lower Body
Tue: Cardio Party 1
Wed: 20 min Cardio + Turbo Sculpt
Thurs: Cardio Party 2 + lower body
Fri: Cardio Party 1
Sat: 20 min Cardio + Turbo Sculpt

I will wait until 6 weeks ppd to begin ab work.

Jadon is doing great & he weighs almost NINE pounds already!! Baby Justin & I have bad head colds. We are continously washing our hands & praying that little Jadon doesn't get it. So far so good.

Happy Holidays again!!

Wow Mel...so someone gave you Cardio Party I.....they must really LOVE you!! Have I ever mentioned that it's better than Cardio Party II??? :p :p :p :p (Okay maybe I have mentioned that before)

Well Girl....you make me crazy...back in your jeans 3 weeks post partum? So maybe it will take you 5 weeks this time....heaven forbid!! (too much sarcasm here!!). You are amazing. I think I really take a good 6 months and literally 1 year to feel even a little bit back to normal. I'm 2 years post partum as of yesterday and I think I feel GREAT now...finally!!

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HOLIDAY SEASON AND HAPPY NEW YEAR ETC ETC!! We're praising the Lord too!!

Briee, I was hoping you'd see how I've been utilizing this amazing DVD. Thank you!! You are awesome, and YES, I agree that it is more fun than the 2nd one. I like them both. Now that I'm able to do the higher intensity version of it, I actually get a sweat too. The sweatier & slippier I get the better I feel. ;)
So tell me, you said it takes 6-12 mos to FEEL better? Did it take that long before you were fitting into your clothes too? If so, what did you do for clothes? BTW, I can squeeze into my jeans...I just can't move in them once they're on. :D :D

wow, 3 weeks ppd and already into your old jeans..i can't believe it. you go girl!! with first ds, it took a total of 4 mos for me to get back to my pre-preggo weight. although i was able to fit into some of my old clothes by the time i went back to work at 8 wks ppd.
ha, not this time. i am already 4mos ppd and not even close to my weight goal.

how do you like turbo jam? i am thinking of ordering but wondering if anyone has actually lost 10lbs in 10 days as the infomercial states..hmmm???

well this week my workout consisted of
sunday-supersets
monday-treadmill, 45min
tuesday-cardio kicks
wednesday - a kathy smith step workout
thursday - day off
friday - treadmill, 60 min
saturday - circuitmax (tried for first time ever, whew what a workout)
sunday...i don't think i will get a chance to workout as i will be so busy Christmas morning and then church and then we are having family over for dinner.

Merry Christmas to all...

Oh that's right...you like that slippery, sweaty feeling :7 :7 :7 . I'm trying to think of a way to put together the 20 minute workout with Cardio I because I LOVE the music and everything about the 20 minute and I LOVE the end of Cardio Party I. Isn't the cool down a blast in Cardio Party 1. SunnyD....I think you'd like them. Just plain fun. I find myself dancing through some of Cathe's now - improvisation I believe it's called. I usually do a weight workout and use TJ as a reward for making it through heavy weights. I don't care for the Turbo Sculpt or lower body DVD. I'm selling the rest on ebay this week. But the cardio is FUN!!

Mel..I'm thinking of the first four pregnancies when I gained 60 lbs with each one. It took a good year and a half to get back my bod. With the last two I gained about 30 pounds, but I think it was still a good 4 months before I REALLY fit into my jeans. I had a few that were a little larger that I would wear. I have a pretty small waist when not prego and it takes time to get my flat belly back.

Moment of truth. Bethany was watching our family home vids the other day and said "mom look at you..you were huge!!". I said "come on Bethany I was due with YOU in 3 days - of course I was big". She says "I know mom...but you weren't carrying me in your butt". Children!!! And to think she is usually such a sweet child. She's not getting anything for Christmas!!! :p :p :p :p

I actually like Turbo Jam's strength training, probably b/c it's whimpy (like me)...unlike Cathe's tough workouts. Compared to Cathe, Turbo Jam is a beginner workout (in my opinion). It IS perfect for pg & ppd though.
Sunny, I"ll let you know if I lose the 10lbs. ;)

Melanie- I am glad you started up again and felt great. SunnyD- which of the Kathy Smith tapes did you do? I used to have quite the collection of her tapes- especially the one in the red box.

I am looking forward to the rest of Christmas week, NYE, 12th Night, etc.

I started Cathe's workouts this Sunday. Boy it feels so good to really sweat again. I'm hopeful that the rest of the 10 lbs will fly off with Cathe's help.

Here's my question: Has anyone had any experience with an umbilical cord NOT coming off? Little Jadon still has his...

My first child had his umbilical cord for like 5 weeks or something. I'm sure that 12 lbs will fly off. I'm going to have a lot more than that, I have a feeling (although not as much to lose as with the last 2 babies)

I look forward to joining you all here soon....

Maggie:)
1 week, 5 days to go

Mel, you lost the preggo weight in 3 weeks the first time? Wow!I was in maternity clothes the first month after Alexis , by 3 months I was close to prepreggo weight. By months, I was thinner. You will lose that preggo weight.

So it was a Merry Christmas and I rather enjoyed the holiday.

My week went well considering the holiday season. Food is still not being mentioned from me - but the sweets are almost gone so that is a good thing! ;-)

Monday -nada

Tuesday- upper body pyramid style 1 hour - upped weights

Wednesday- nada

Thursday- Cathe pyramid lower body, and the floor work from Gym Style legs = a whopping 1 hour 20 mins or so for lower body! }(

Friday - nada

Saturday - 30 min upper body pyramid style up only

Sunday - I ate :9

Yep my son had his for like 5 weeks or so. But I wasn't pulling the stump completely up and getting it clean deep in cause I thought it would hurt him. My ped said it was ok to pull and swipe around and then it came off like a week later or so. With DD it came off around 3 weeks. Not sure if that is helpful or not, but it will eventually come off! :)
