Where did everyone go? Are you ladies still out there?!?! hee hee. Boy, doesn't life get busy? I did actually do a post last week, but it didn't show up? I wonder where it went. When I realized my post didn't actually POST, I didn't have time to do another. Oh well.

The weather is FINALLY getting nice here in Minnesota. I got my jogging stroller on Tuesday night, and I've been out three times. It is LOTS harder pushing two than one. My wheels are smaller on this jogger (16") compared to my single jogger (21"). I might take the stroller to a bike shop to see if they can tweak it to the larger wheels. It was so much more fun!! My legs are so sore I can barely move, which is expected with the first week of running.

I got Turbo Jams newest 4 DVDs last Friday. So, I"ve been on cloud 9 with new DVDs, Ryka crosstrainers, and a new double jogger. All set!!! I'm still waiting for Mindy Mylrea's DVDs I preordered in Jan, I suppose she's running a little behind...doesn't that happen to us all!

The kids are marvelous. My 2 year old, Justin is our "difficult" child right now. He's not talking yet & whines a lot. I suppose it's the age he's at. DH has been so wonderful. We've even been talking about number 4 (which won't be for a while with me nursing Jadon)...it's all in God's hands. We'll see. ;)

Sun: Rollarbladed at my 12year olds b-day party (40 min)
Mon: off
Tue: Cardio Party Mix 3 (50min)
Wed: 30 min jog
Thurs: Turbo Jam Punch Kick & jam (50min)
Fri: 40 min jog + Turbo Jam 3T (30 min)
Sat: 45 min Jog + Cardio Party Remix (30min)

Hope to hear from EVERYONE this week. Happy Easter!! Our Saviour has risen!!!

Hi Melanie and everyone. Thanks for starting the thread. We've have a nasty week here with stomach bugs that have afflicted everyone, including Gus. Lots of puking, etc. My washer has been running all week. One of the cats and the dog even threw up, but that happens all of the time anyway.

Sunday: off/sick
Monday: 3 mile walk pushing stroller, On the Ball Pilates
Tuesday: 3 mile run with lots of stair running
Wednesday: boot camp
Thursday: off
Friday: Step Works, combo 3 of Step Blast (I was a stepping fool)
Saturday: we'll see; maybe a walk with the family. I bought a bunch of stuff to plant in my yard; I'll count that toward upper body exercise.

Have a great Easter (if you celebrate it). I thought I'd have a reflective Lent and try to attend more weekday masses; didn't happen. Reflective and prayerful we were not.

Hello Ladies! I was wondering if our check-in died. I’m glad to see everyone still posting, well we are still missing some people. Hopefully they will check-in again.

Warm sunny weather has arrived here too. I’ve been taking my running outside and enjoying it before the hot summer temperatures arrive. I’ve even taken the kids out in my new double jogger. I’m really loving it. The extra pushing weight is more strain on my shoulders, but over time I will get used to it. This past week I had to fit in all of my workouts before Friday because we left to go out of town Saturday morning for the weekend. However, if I would have known that we would have to leave my inlaw’s house at 12:30 Easter morning and drive the 2 hours home in middle of the night, with no sleep since 6 a.m. Saturday morning, then we wouldn’t have had to pack to begin with. No more overnight trips until we leave to go on our Florida vacation in May. DD can not handle being away from her own crib. Hopefully we can fix this before we go on vacation in about a month.

Here are my workouts:

Sun – Ran 5 miles
Mon – Rest
Tues – Ran 3.5 miles
Wed – Ran 3.5 miles
Thur – Ran 2 miles & push mowed lawn (1 hour)
Fri – Ran 5 miles
Sat – Rest

Melanie – Congrats on your new purchases! I love getting new stuff. Enjoy your new jogger. Did you sell your other one?

Kristan – Your workouts look great! I hope everyone is feeling better.

Julie – Things will pick up. I know that with spring being here it has reenergized me. Hopefully it will do the same for you.

GraceNote – How was your week? Any word on DH’s promotion and possible July move? I had to take DD back to the doctor on Friday. He said that if she has one more ear infection she will get tubes. This may sound crazy but I want her to get tubes instead of taking antibiotics for a full month every time she gets an ear infection because the first course did not fully get rid of the infection to begin with. I’m so glad to hear that tubes worked for your daughter. Do the tubes stay in her ears forever or do they get removed later on? As far as workouts, I fit my workouts in at lunch hour during work. If it was not for that then I probably wouldn’t get to exercise much at all.

Well, I’ve gotta head to lunch. Take care!

Would you guys mind if I join in? My little one is 12 weeks old today! I was put on bedrest for 5 1/2 weeks before she arrived, so I put on a little extra weight from being stuck in the house bored and unable to work out. I have been back to work for a week and I am struggling to fit it all in, but hopefully I will get a schedule down sooner or later. Here is what I did last week, my first week back to work.

Monday - IMAX3
Tuesday - Eliptical 30 minutes
Wednesday - Ran 3miles and walked 1.5 miles, 15 minutes of weights
Thursday - Ran 3 miles and walked 1 mile, 15 minutes of weights
Friday - rest
Saturday - IMAX3
Sunday - rest

I try to fit everything in at lunch or after our little one is asleep. But the first week back kicked my butt! Hoping it get easier.

I gained 45 pounds and so far I have lost 35 of them. Ten more stubborn pounds to go. The last few are always the hardest!!

You guys all do so much, I doubt I will be able to keep up with your pace for awhile. I am still nursing and when I went back to work she quite sleeping through the night, so my energy level is pretty low right now. But surely we will get back on a better sleep schedule soon.

Oh and how early did you guys start to use your jogging strollers. It sits up so much straighter than her normal stroller, I am not sure she is ready for it yet. She is excellent with holding her head up, but if you sit her up against something she tends to slowly lean to one side or the other. Don't want to get her in it too soon, but dying to enjoy the wonderful weather we are having.

Welcome Annette! It looks like you wasted no time getting back into the swing of things. Imax3 TWICE in one week. Wow! You're great!!

Did you have a little girl or boy? What's their name? Are there anymore, or is this your one and only? Boy, am I nosey?!?!?

I used my jogging stroller as early as I could weather permitting. They sell Kiddopatamous Snuzzler --an attatchment that fits into any stroller, bouncy, carseat, etc... that molds around your little one to keep them from bouncing (and keep their head straight). I love it! I think the soonest I went out is 8 weeks or so with little ones, using this contracption.

Do you have your own elliptical, or do you go to the gym?

Again, welcome!!

Hello ladies!!!

Melanie- wow, thinking of # 4 already?? let us know when it happens:) . i've been hesistant on buying the new tj's because i don't feel the 1st ones are that advanced. how do you like the new ones? do they work up a good sweat? i am still waiting to hear your review on mindy's new bootcamp workout. i am itching to purchase however i need to hear a review first:p

Kristan- I hope your family is feeling better.
Kristi- wow!! you are running alot. i bet you are looking fabolous! are you adding in any weight training? how are the kids doing?

I am just waaaaaaaaaaay to lazy to try to recall my workouts for the week. }( I did manage to workout 5x's last week. i did try hardcore extreme #2 whew...what a workout!!! However my eating was horrible all week. I am so disappointed in myself. my mother in law and nephew came to visit us and of course she came bearing many unhealthy (yet tasty treats):9 . I must get back on track........

On a good note the boys are doing wonderful!!!!

Hello to all that follow.

Edit to say: Hello and welcome to Annette:D

Welcome Annette & Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!! You will find a few working moms here experiencing the same scheduling dilemmas, myself included. I’ve been working fulltime since DD turned 8 weeks. She is now 7 ½ months old. Much like you, I fit in my workouts during my lunch hour or I would not be able to fit them in at all. It will get easier as your little one begins to sleep through the night. I wish I knew what that was, but DD still gets up once at night to eat between 2:30 – 3:30. Your workouts look really great and your weight loss is remarkable. Way to go girl!

I think the baby has to be 4 or 6 months before you can use the baby jogger. Check your instruction manual. I think with some the baby can be younger and you can use some kind of head support. I know I could have bought the head support with my jogger, but since DD was almost 6 months at the time I opted to not buy it.

Melanie – Way to go, thinking of #4! You are a brave woman. LOL DH wanted to stop at 2 and had a vasectomy. Now he is thinking he acted too quickly.

SunnyD – How are you girl? I’m training for a half marathon at the end of August, hence why all the running. I wish I looked as good as I feel. Still have stubborn fat sticking around. Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing much strength training and I know that I need to badly, just not enough time in the day. I need to reevaluate my schedule and still keep the running in there. If only I could take 2 hour lunches. LOL The kids are doing okay. DS has started stuttering. The teacher said that it is not uncommon for this to happen due to the large increase in vocabulary and the child trying to make sense of new meanings and word usage. DD is still on antibiotics for another 2 weeks for really bad nasal congestion, but I think the stuffiness is starting to affect her ears again. If that is the case then her pediatrician will send her to get tubes. Enough about me, how are you and the kids doing? Great job working out last week. I own the hardcore extremes, but have never tried one. Call me a chicken! They scare me, but one day I will do them. Hang in there girl, you will get back on track. When family is around I always have a set back, hence this past weekend, but it will all get back to normal when they are gone. Good luck!!

Have a great day!!

Annette- welcome. Your workouts look great. I used my jogger ASAP (for walking at first, then running), but it has a recline on it. I'd try it and see how she does.

I've always found the last 10 pounds are the hardest. Thanks for joining us.

Kristan

hello ms. kristi!!

all is well with me and the little ones. they are both growing like weeds..it's unbelievable. jaden is HUGE, LOL. he has outgrown his reflux so we are estatic about that. i just got the terminator and hardcore extreme recently (i was also too chicken to even think of purchasing) but i said what the heck. esp. since cathe is injured it gave me something new to try. i have yet to find another instructor i even remotely like:p glad to hear all is well with you and your family. you are doing fantastic with your running! i finally got a chance to use my jogging stroller for the first time last week and i love it:)
