Hey Girls:)

How is everyone and their little ones??? Im super lonely today. My sister left to go home early today and its just sinking in. This was the first time in yrs that we have had a chance to spend all of her holidays together b/c I was off with Rylan. But I find it even more lonely when she goes back b/c Im not working right now. Before it wasn't that hard b/c life resumed to normal but now that I have more free time I find it harder when she leaves;( ;( ;( It was really bad when she went back after Rylan was born b/c my hormones were all over the place and I couldn't stop crying but right now, I just feel like their is a weight on my chest.

Anyway...enough about that.Next week this time I will be o.k, I promise:)

My workout were good this week but my eating wasn't so good. Im hoping my eating pattern will get better now that everyone as left me;( and gone back to work;) Pity party for me!!! hahaha

Sun-4 mile run
Mon-PUB and a BM2 premix(c&w)
Tues-PLB and LM
Wed-KM
Thurs-12.4 kms run
Fri- 10 kms run
Sat- 12 kms run

Alright, hope everyone as a good week. Hope to be back in better spirits later this week!
Lori

Lori, hello!
So nice to hear from you and sorry to hear you've been feeling down since your sister left. I completely understand that, I have a twin sister and we are super close. She lives 8 hours away and it's really hard to say goodbye after she visits. Hope you are doing a better this evening?

Life is pretty good here. My workouts and eating were not so good last week. So, I need to get back on it this week. I just felt exhausted last week and Ryan was up a lot at night and waking up super early in the morning. I believe it was teething pain that was bothering him. He seems better the last few days. Here's what I was able to do:

Monday – Low Impact Step (40min)
Tuesday – Rest Day
Wednesday – Rest Day
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Low Max (45min)
Sunday – Outdoor Walk (30min)

Pretty lame I know, but, this is a new week, right? :) Off I go to get my workout in.

Hope all the other mommies are doing well, have a great week!

Hey Stacy,

I feel better already:) I have a hard time understanding why some people aren't close to their families. Yesterday I was good as well.

My eating as finally gotten back on track! Phew! Sometimes when you get off track you don't know if you are going to get back on!

Rylan as some kind of rash on him today. Im not overly worried b/c I was talking to my friend who is a nurse and it doesn't seem to be bothering him. Although today he is warmer then he was yesterday. Its also been about 7 weeks since he as cut a tooth so Im thinking he soon cut his top ones anytime!

I think there is a poopy pamper that needs changing!
Lori:)

Good Morning Ladies-

Lori- Glad to hear you're feeling better. All my family live within 30 minutes of me so I can't imagine what it would feel like if they went away.

Stacey - I think Madelynn might be teething as well. She just hasn't been her normal self the last few days and her sleeping pattern is different. She's been letting me massage her gums and it does feel like there is something there but not quite ready to break through yet. I just feel so bad for her when she starts crying, especially since she isn't much of a crier normally.

I was able to clean up my eating a bit last week. I'm down another pound. I know I should be happy that I am consitantly losing a pound a week now but it feels like I am so far away from my goal. I'm still BFing - maybe when I'm done with that I'll lose a little bit more.

Workouts:
Mon: Run (Week 4 Couch 2 5K)
Tue: Get Ripped
Wed: Run
Thur: Get Ripped
Fri: Run
Sat: Get Ripped
Sun: Off

I hope everyone has a great week!

Hello!
Lori, so glad to hear you're feeling better! Rylan has a rash eh? You know, Ryan had one a few months ago with a slight fever, but it went away after 2 days. I bet Rylan's clears up soon if it hasn't already. I think babies can pick up things so easily. I'm always on Alex to wash his hands right when he comes home from school so there's not a germ fest in my house!

Kim, the teething is no fun, especially for the babies (but also tough on us with the sleep pattern changing). Ryan finally cut his first tooth!!! All my kids got their first tooth between 8-10months. I'm hoping the other teeth that come in aren't as uncomfortable for Ryan. Great job on the weight loss, slow and steady is great!!! Mine has slowed down to about 1-2 pound weight loss per month at this point. But, I'm only a few pounds off my goal so that's okay.

When is your first 5K? I'm thinking of doing one this Fall with my sister, and hoping to get out and run a bit when the weather cools off here. I may have to do my runs on the weekend though when my husband can watch the kids.

Ok gals, have a good day! ;)

Hi ladies,

Just thought I check in right quick.

Sorry Stacey, but I beat you in the lame workout week. I didn't do anything at all last week. My flight to Germany was on Tuesday and we got here Wednesday morning. So Heidi and I are finally getting over the jet lag. She woke up in the middle of the night and was up for 2 hours before I could get her back to sleep x( . But now she is back to normal, but it took her about 4-5 days.

We are enjoying our time with my parents and yes, I am always very sad for several days when we go back home. We are really close as well and it is hard that they live so far away.

I got to workout for the first time again today, but I am not stressing out about it, I am just enjoying my time off from all the chores at home :p .

Lori - I hope that Rylan will be better soon!!!

Stacey - Heidi has still no teeth, but that's ok because I am still breastfeeding ;-) .

Kim - Great workouts. I hope to get out for a run this week.

Ok ladies, gotta go back to spend time with my parents, but I will try to check back in later this week.

Kristine :)

Hi ladies!

I am 3 weeks postpartum now and anxious to get back in shape. My son Jeremy is doing well, and sleeps a lot still. Generally, I am able to get a workout in while he naps on the couch behind me on his boppy pillow. Though one day this week he woke up multiple times, interrupting my workout. But I couldn't be too mad at him as he is too cute! ;)

Thus far this week I have done the following:

Sunday- Rest Day
Monday- Cardio and Weights
Tuesday- CIA Step Workout (Ann Marie Sill)
Wednesday- Rest Day
Thursday- CIA Low Impact Workout with Weights (Andre Houle)

As you can see, I am not yet back to doing daily workouts. I am losing too much sleep at night still, and don't always get up early enough to get a workout in before my husband heads off to work. My older son, Ethan, is only in preschool three days per week. So, if he is home with me and the baby (like today and tomorrow), it is harder for me to get a workout in.

Last week was a bit better for me:

Sunday- 40 min walk on treadmill
Monday- HSC
Tuesday- Rest Day
Wednesday- Christi Taylor's Funktional Fitness
Thursday- Patrick Goudeau's Dumb Training
Friday- Rest Day
Saturday- 60 min walk outside

I am disappointed to still be wearing my maternity shorts, but I guess that is to be expected at only 3 weeks postpartum. I am finally back in my regular tops and bras, though. My husband keeps telling me I look great, but I really want this belly to go away, as I am sure all of you can understand. I find it hard to do much abdominal work yet, as it feels kind of awkward. I am trying not to push myself too hard, too fast, but I really want to get back to the shape I was asap. I am anxious to get back to my tough Cathe workouts especially! I think it just takes time, though, to get the energy back after having a baby and I need to be patient. I am glad I can come here and get encouraged. Thanks to everyone for listening. :)

Take care!

Hi Gals!

Kristine, so nice to hear from you and so glad you are enjoying your time in Germany. Seems like a good time to just rest and spend time with your family, work out when you're able to and enjoy:)!! Ryan's tooth is fully in and I'm curious when some more will pop in. He is in much better spirits and seems more comfortable now that it has broken through his gums.

Erin, welcome!!!! Congratulations on the birth of your second son. How wonderful! You are doing an awesome job with working out, I'm impressed:) It is so hard when you're so tired and your body is still going through a huge adjustment. I know what you mean about just wanting to get back in shape right away, it's hard to be patient, but, you'll definitely get back to where you want to be with patience, time, and a little hard work;) Look forward to chatting with you more. My daughter starts preschool tomorrow and my son started kindergarten two weeks ago.

Kim, congrats on the pound lost! Better lost then gained right?:)

Kristine, hope you have a good time at home...and remember your on vaca so you can eat whatever you want and you won't gain weight!;) ;) Atleast thats what i thought:)

Stacy, Rylans rash is gone now. It only lasted a couple of days and didn't seem to bother him at all. Im trying to see if he as more teeth but he won't let me look in his mouth!:)

Erin, congrats on your new little one. They are so precious! You are doing better then I was at 3 weeks PP, its hard to work out while craving sleep. Not to mention...those boobies are heavy! Thats if your bf'ing. I wore maternity pants for a while b/c they were so comfy. I finally got back into a pair of my own jeans when I was 6 weeks pp but let me tell ya, it wasn't pretty:) I was just happy that I got them done up.LOL At 4 monthes PP I was back to my prepreg weight though and I guess I was fitting into all of my clothes by 3 monthes PP. Good luck and good job!

Just wanted to check in. Everything here is going well.2 monthes left and then its time to go back to work;( ;(
Lori:)

Hi Stacey and Lori. Thanks for the warm welcome and congratulations. It is very hard to work out when you are losing sleep. And you're right that it takes time and patience to lose the baby weight, but I have never been a patient person at all so it's doubly hard for me. I will just have to take it one day at a time. I did get in a 60 min walk outside yesterday evening. It was a beautiful day and the sunshine and fresh air helped me after being inside most of the day. I am glad my hubby has a three day weekend. It gets tiring taking care of the baby and also trying to keep my nearly 5 year old son busy. My older son gets a bit jealous at times, and I never know quite what to say other than to reassure him that I love them both. This motherhood is tough! I know you all understand. :)

Lori, you mentioned you have two more months off before you return to work. How long have you been on maternity leave? I am debating when I will return to work myself. Probably sometime in mid-October. We have gratefully already found a babysitter for our newborn, so that is a relief.

Take care everyone!

Erin, I live in Canada so I had a yr mat leave:) I went off in late Oct, not knowing that I could take myself off on sick leave and thinking my doc had to do it and he wouldn't. We were moving into a new house and I didn't want to have to go to work, plus my job is shift work and i was finding it hard. If I knew I had 8 weeks sick leave I could take, then I would be off until Jan. One of the girls in my baby group said that if I went to Service Canada and told them that i was upset cause I had to leave my baby they would let me take 8 weeks at the end of my mat leave. Thing is...Im not a good liar:( Kind of wish I were now. I will be upset about leaving Rylan but I think I will be happy to socialize again. I think its harder to leave them when they are a yr old instead a couple of monthes b/c they are more attached to us at a yr old.

Lori:)

Thanks for clarifying, Lori. You are lucky to live in Canada and be able to take an entire year long maternity leave. I am sorry things got a bit screwed up with the sick leave and all, but you had a good long time off. Most women here in the US only get 6-12 weeks maternity leave, and usually it's unpaid. I am sure getting back to work will be good in many ways. I wish you the best of luck!
