Some of you may remember a few years back, I asked for help with my son's 4th grade postcard race, and you all came through with flying colors. Well, it's my daughter's turn to participate in The Great Postcard Race, and the first class to receive a postcard from all 50 states wins. If you can help, please mail a postcard to:

Claudia S.
Mrs. Minski's Class
McKinley School
500 First Street
Westfield, NJ 07090

If you can, please include your state capital and any interesting fact you might know about your state. Thank you so much in advance. We had such fun finding out about all of you and where you live.

With gratitude,
lynda (and claudia)

Greetings from Sin City! Although, I promise to send a "nice" Las Vegas postcard!:) Not the ones they hand out on the strip.....

The postcards are starting to arrive! Thank you to everyone who's been kind enough to send one. My daughter gets so excited when the mail comes at school. It's like meeting new friends!

Thanks again,
lynda

Go Mrs. Minski's Class!

I was just told that the postcards should include the city you live in, a fact about the state, and the state capital and should be signed (first name only is fine).

Thanks all!
Lynda and Claudia

P.S. -
Mrs. Minski's Class has 8 states (GO MRS. MINSKI'S CLASS!)
Mrs. Barca's Class has 14 states (OH, NO!)
Mr. Paradise'S Class has zero (THE BIG GOOSE EGG)

I am sending out an Erie Canal postcard today.

Does she get extra credit if she gets two from any state?? California is a pretty big state... ;)

Alaska came today! Claudia is a class star, having received cards from both Alaska and Hawaii--the two hardest states to get. Thanks, all!
