Pilates with Ankle Weights

Sooo...I've always enjoyed pilates, but lately it just doesn't feel like a challenge. Since I don't feel like spending money on new videos, I decided to use ankle weights with my current windsor pilates DVDs. Wow. It made such a difference. I could feel my lower abs engaged so much more. Has anyone ever tried this?
