My baby sister is going through tough times. She and I used to be very close until last year (can not go into that) She got divorced about 3 years ago. Her DH slept around on her. She didn't want the divorce :eek: He wanted it and she was clinging on to him for so long. She's been a mess virtually since. She doesn't come around family much. Misses holiday gatherings etc. She and I used to go out to eat frequently and don't anymore :( So she found out last week that he is getting remarried and is having a melt down. I hate that this dick is ruining her life. And I hate it even more that there is nothing that I can do about it. As a nurse/ nurse practitioner, I fix people. That's my nature. I want to make every thing ok for everyone. And I can not. I am crying as I type this. She hurts and so do I. She won't answer or return my calls and that hurts too.
Sorry for the rant. Just needed to vent!!

Catherine I am so sorry that you are going through this. I completely understand your desire to "fix" this situation for your sister. Just know that by calling and leaving her messages you are helping her. Even if she does not return you calls she knows that no matter what you are there for her when she needs you. I have been estranged from my brother in the past and had to watch him go through tough times on his own and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. If you need to vent or chat please feel free to email or pm me at anytime. I truly understand what you are going through. My heart goes out to you and your sister as well as some prayers.

<--was married to an abusive-physician-drug-addict and thought <--could fix him
<--is so grateful <--finally realized <--could not fix anyone but <--
<--thinks catherine needs to continue to leave messages and let sister know she is there whenever she needs her
