A few weeks ago I ordered Petzlife Oral Care, which advertised itself as a oral care product for dogs and cats. The neat thing about the product was that it seemed to do the job of keeping the animal's teeth/gums clean without subjecting the pet to dangerous anesthesia for dental cleaning/work at the vet's.
Well, I've been using the stuff on my three cats faithfully for three weeks now. Ideally you're auppose to brush your cat's teeth with the stuff, but if I could do that, I wouldn't need this stuff in the first place. So I followed the alternate directions and have been letting the cats lick the gel off their paws twice a day.
The verdict so far? There has been no change in my cats' teeth. On the two that will tolerate me handling their mouths, I have not seen a decrease in the reddness of their gums and their teeth do not look any cleaner.
I suppose I should wait a couple of weeks longer and check again.
