Pentagenarians & Beyond: Week Beg 4/27

Hi Deb, Linny, Josie--

Today is my day off, so all I have done is clean house. A lot to do this week, though, because I was at that conference last Saturday.

That's a bummer, Linny. You have to wait another whole week for some advice. It sounds like you totally did the right thing, though, about changing jobs, so you should pat yourself on the back for being so prophetic.

Never did finish my post yesterday--students started swarming in to see me "just one more time" before they turn in papers next week. So Robert was 77, but Elizabeth Barrett Browning was only 55, which left Robert 22 years to mourn the love of his life.

Tonight we are going out to dinner. Definitely the sushi appetizer, and then I will take a look at the rest of the menu. Maybe my favorite--lobster.

Poor DH! April still has not calved, and she looks ginormous.

Good Afternoon and Happy Saturday!

We were doing errands this morning and the time just flew by. DH and I hit our local Greek breakfast diner, then dropped off those 4 big bags of clothes I gathered last weekend at the AmVets location, went to Home Depot for mulch, picked up 2 hanging baskets, library, pet store.. you get the drift! No workout for me today.. it is HouseMax, laundry etc. Going to a local playhouse to see a comedy..it is about 2 women.. it got great reviews. The Director of the theater is a patient of DH's and he was in the other day. He said the play went 20 minutes over, because of all time they had to wait for the laughing to subside!

I was getting myself all psyched up to work outside in the yard and it started raining.

Still waiting to hear from the breeder on which day of the June 7 weekend we should arrive to get the puppy. We will be staying at least one night.

You are so lucky to be done with classes after next week! I bet you are looking forward to the time off. ;-) Yes, the "flashes" were a pain.. but I still swear by the combination of soy and vitamin E supplements. I think they got me through it with a minimun of aggravation. Poor DH is right, but poor April too! Thanks for the info on the Brownings.

sorry about the DR apt being postponed!x( Sounds like your decision to leave that last job was a good one.
