Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 5/2

Good morning!

Welcome Annabelle! Glad to have another "Pentagenarian" on board. I am 57 and would like to lose about 13-15 pounds right now. I have done STS, right now I am doing the 90 day Chalene Extreme workouts.

I was talking on the phone sitting on the couch, and went to get up and my back went into spasms or something. I couldn't stand, had to hobble over to the other couch and try to sit. It was awful. Took 3 ibuprofen, and now it is almost back to normal. WTH is up with that?

No real plans, hope to go to the outlet mall with my cousin. Will just load up on ibuprofen and hope for the best. Then tomorrow or later tonight I have to go to a wake for one of the woman that works for me. She went home from work Thursday and found her husband dead in the driveway. Awful, just awful. He was 59.

Valerie, not sure how really accurate the calorie burn the HRM calculates but at least it's a guideline. Mine is a Polar F6 and you have to put in your age and weight, so I think it uses some formula with that and how high your heart rate is and for how long. I agree with you on the chickens, if they attract Coyotes! Yikes!

Garance, have you decided on the restaurant for tonight?

Cathy, no thanks on the plucking activity! I would love to try the chicken that is fresh, I am sure it is way better than supermarket stuff, but no, no plucking happening here! :D

Joan, when you do workouts, are you going to up the calories? what workouts are you planning to do?

Son and dil will bringing Luke and Elliot (Annabelle, Elliot is my granddaughter) over today. I have a chicken, sweet potato and gr bean dish that is very good.

It's been 1 week on diet and I have lost 5 lbs. (Annabelle ticker says 2 lbs because I didn't record the 3lb gain from vacation.) Deb, I don't think I want to raise calories unless I'm really hungry. An STS only burns a couple hundred calories and a cardio not much more. I want a 1(really 2)lb per week loss until Oct. Yesterday's calories with eating out were 1021.

I'm glad dh is not hunter. My mil made sure that if you killed it you ate it and cleaned it. Bil is really into hunting and fishing. I don't like fish or rabbit or deer meat. I haven't tried anything else.

Deb Hope back gets better soon. I'm going grocery shopping now so wish me luck.:p I think my whole problem is getting started on a wo and not knowing what I want to do.
