Good Morning fellow Pentagenarians and Beyonds!

Well I got back from DC yesterday..a very tiring trip. I think if I had to sit in any more meetings listening to "talking heads" I would be screaming!

I was with this same group in DC on Sept 11, seven years ago. We were meeting when the planes hit the towers in NY. On Thursday we had a minute of silence at the same time.. so sad.

Anyway, I am trying to focus and get back to serious working out. I layed out a new plan while hanging around the hotel room and I plan to start tomorrow. I hope it sticks this time!

Garance:
No presentation for me in DC...just listening to others and having all kinds of "break out" sessions..yuk! It sounds like you are really getting into the serious school year with grading and everything.

Carol:
For someone who hates cardio, you do a good job with it!:D

Linny:
Glad to hear you got good results from the mamo. Wow , 15 tubes of blook! Keep us posted on what happens from here. I hope the new apartment works out for your DS. I have not done anything with excercising in a week.

Josie:
I can understand how DD feels...it's not fun being that far from home, especially if it's her first time. REgarding the workouts, maybe with the new space, you will get motivated again.

Have a great day ladies!

Deb;)

Welcome back, Deb!

Hi Deb, Linny, and Carol--

Today is my day off, so I slept in and did my housecleaning.

Sorry your trip was so tedious, Deb. I know what you mean about meetings. Sometimes they just go on and on and on, with a few dominant personalities who like to listen to themselves talk. Good luck on your new workout plan. I just keep bumbling along with no particular plan other than 6 workouts per week with a mixture of weights and cardio and an effort to cross train.

Poor Linny--that's a lot of blood. I hope the tests turn up something hopeful and helpful so you don't have to go on worrying. It's the not knowing sometimes that's nervewracking. Nah--no excitement here. DH is in referee season now and totally pooped every night. I did go to a couple college social functions this past week--reception for new faculty out at Mt. Hope, women's studies pizza dinner with students, English dept. dinner, but they are pretty blah!

Watching hurricane Ike news this morning and thought of Jen, who lived in Houston. Wonder how she is.

Watching L'Avventura this afternoon for my seminar next week.
