I tried my usual Valvoline on Thursday to see if they had my cabin filter. Third place. This kid, went and looked and said they don’t actually make the one I need anymore, but Autozone had one that would work and he could go get one. So, I did my shopping and went back and got it. They had no other customers and one of the guys said he’d top off my fluids. I said good luck and told him about the hood latch, but it opened and closed with no problem.
Yesterday I did kickboxing and then Stacked Sets Upper Body. Today I did Boss Loops Glutes and Core. Dentist tomorrow for a cleaning, but if I get up early I should be able to get a workout in.
Valerie spending that much time in smoke would be hard. We had about 2-3 days of it earlier this summer and I can’t imagine weeks or months. I hope your DH is able to get his tooth taken care of.

good morning. ideas about riding this morning went away when i woke up to rain. my room doesnt get the sound very well so im not sure how long, but definite rain and not just a light shower. we need whole days of it, but got several hours worth. it did change the plans again . no ride today. will do something else.
i dont know how widespread the rain was, but not enough to put out fires. this was likely motly western WA and probably the west side of the mountains. eastern WA has fires every year but the last decade has been brutal. when you look at fire maps they show the area on fire now, and also the areas that have recently burned. like a gigantic awful jigsaw puzzle, the new fires often burn to the perimeter of the older fires. the fires are in rugged country, not easily put out.

Today I did LiTE Cardio Party, 39 minutes, 228 calories burned, average heart rate 117, and maximum heart rate 149.

Saturday I did a 30-minute Peloton Ride and PT work, yesterday I did a 40-minute walk and today I did a 45-minute Peloton Ride and 10 minutes of Arms & Light Weights.

medical appts yesterday and PT. planned on riding today and i would have but DH said air was too smoky. the wind is blowing smoke from eastern WA to western today. i don't think it's that bad but he would not go so i will do the spin bike here instead. and many sets of stretches. i dont need a hip replacement, but joint space has narrowed so but i am going to get a cortisone hip injection sometime after they clear it with insurance. i feel like im going a long time without doing any cardio so now its tomorrow when the wind should have changed and cleared out the smoke.
oh crap i just read Dolly Parton died. Im not a fan of country music but i was a fan of her. what a wonderful kind generous person.

Today I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one, 26 minutes, 178 calories burned, average heart rate 129, and maximum heart rate 154. I had another business appointment this morning.
I am saddened by Dolly Parton’s death. She was not only talented, but kind and generous as well. I have grown to like some country music, but I have always enjoyed Dolly’s music.

Finally rode the trail this morning 75 min 15 miles. one spot was still smoky but it was brief and overall felt good. i saw a weasel run right in front of me! they are not big but have a distinctive black tail tip, about chipmunk size but longer body. haven't seen much wildlife for a while.
Dolly's warmth and kindness seemed to flow out and come right thru the camera. not many people have that gift. you cant fake that. from all the coverage and warm words she was universally loved.
i dont know if it will last but the dry needling i had Monday has helped both my back and hip. i slept better last night than i have in months. i won't do it again until sept 10 the same day I'm getting a cortisone hip injection. i also think the piriformis stretch ive been doing is helping. im hoping i continue to improve! the ride today felt good.

Last few days haven’t all been productive. I had a cold, which thankfully has moved on except for occasional coughing. Weird as I rarely get them. Yesterday I did walk at the zoo before going to my parents. Then today I had great plans. Get in a good workout, clean out the car, make my shopping list including stuff for the trip…and then early this morning I got aa call from my brother needing a ride to the ER. Had to dress, grab some food, stuff to do etc. plus he’s 20 minutes away. This morning his pulse was 48 and oxygen 85. So I was at the hospital with him until 1:00 when his wife was able to get there. His vitals were better, but they are keeping him overnight. He has so many issues. And no insurance at the moment. Ugh I shop tomorrow, so unless I get up early no workout.
I was so saddened to her about Dolly. She was such an incredible, generous person.
Valerie, I’m glad you got some rain. We had a good steady rain for awhile the other day, needed, not enough but still helped. I have a fire app on phone for when I travel, since I’ll be going through some state with the potential for fires.
