Patrick Goudeau- Body Design! Anyone else love it?

Most so called "advanced" workouts are too easy for me, but I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with this workout!

It is a total body workout and all you use is a step and body bar (just make sure you use a heavy enough body bar for a real burn). I didn't think you could get a good workout this way but I was proven wrong! It has some very unique and effective moves that challenge the body- from "frogs" and "passing the bar chest press" to plyo pushups with a body bar on the step! There are some great sculpting moves in here! The body bar really adds an additional challenge when used for overhead tricep extensions because you determine how hard the movement is by where your hand is placed on the bar (ie; you are holding the bar vertically, and the higher up your hand is, the more you feel it in your tricep). This workout is truly challenging, as it works the whole body and has cardio interval spurts in it as well.

This is by far one of the best workouts I have done ( my other all time favorites include Drill max, Bootcamp, Charles Harris' Super CHizel IT, and Butts and Guts. Has anyone else done this and love it ? One caveat- some reviewers have said he is annoying for saying "oh my gos" too much, but I was enjoying the workout so much I didn't even mind!:) :) :9

I haven't tried it but someone else told me that they love this workout. I tried a different workout by Patrick and just couldn't get into it, so I was skeptical about trying him again.

Does he do any step in it? I get so frustrated with his choreography. I can't follow him at all. I did enjoy his ball workout though. And yes he laughs alot but it makes me laugh along with him. He seems so happy.

Yes, It's hard work. Also his stability ball workouts "ABC's" the second one is fantastic! Just another way to do cardio. The first one is for beginners and is great for someone who is starting out.

Starla, I have been eyeing this workout up, but haven't got it yet. I am going to have to check it out. I don't have a body bar but have been thinking about getting one. I just can't decide which weight to get. What is the weight of yours? I am thinking of doing 15 lb one, but I don't want it to be too heavy. Any suggestions?

TIA,

Karin

Mine is 18 pounds ( but I am hoping to get a 25 pound one for the next time), but I would start out with a 15 lb one if you are not used to doing workouts with the body bar. I was skeptical about getting this workout also, because I had heard he was too "dancy" in some of his workouts. This workout is just simple choreography on the step (but still intense). I suggest investing in a body bar, as there are a lot of great workouts that utilize this versatile tool. (Kickbox Bootcamp is another great bodybar workout)!

Let me know if/when you do this workout and what you thought about it.

Good luck!

I am gonna get this w/out because I like Patrick's personality and you said the choreography is easier. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the info!
