Is anyone from Park City-or does anyone vacation there? we are looking into taking our family to this area and i was looking for some good pointers on where to stay.We have never been to this area before....hopefully someone has some good pointers!;)

We spent last Christmas in Park City! It was just unbelieveably beautiful and COLD!

My aunt lives in Salt Lake City, so we stayed in SLC near her, but we went daily to The Canyons to ski. We really enjoyed the area and would love to go back.

One other thing, it was an incredibly expensive trip, and like I said we didn't even stay in Park City.

Have fun!

I live just North of Park City.
There is a great outlet mall. Lots of good shopping!
The Olympic whatcha macall it place is there too. Great family fun! You can bobsled
last time we were ther it was warmer and the ski team was praciticing by jump into pools which was fun to watch.
Also anything out doors. Great skiing, and boarding.

OMG, I love Park City. You are going to have so much fun. We cross country skied, snow showed, and did some downhill skiing. Also, the downtown area is pretty cute and has some nice restaurants and is fun to hang out in. We also hit the outlets one of the days that we were too tired to do anything else :D. Here's a link with some info about snow shoeing and cross country skiing.

I used to live in Park City and met my DH there, so it holds a very special place in my heart. It is expensive though...depending on what time of year you go, winter is best if you are into winter sports. The Stein Erikson Lodge has a wonderful brunch..pricey digs though, all the stars stay there during Sundance...there are some darling local hotels on Main Street, look into those for some good deals.
Oh, and stop by Flat Rabbit Gallery, I used to work there, they sell vintage posters and great artwork. Sigh, now I am "homesick"...:)

Thanks for all the replys! i was looking at the Stein Erickson lodge and also the hotel park city.they both look nice online-but the hotel park city doesnt get the best reviews as far as service goes. Has anyone stayed there? we definitely like nice hotels-we usually stay at Ritz carltons when they are in the area we travel too-so i was looking for something along those lines.it looks like they have alot to do out there tho for winter activities.
