Paint color for workout room help

Can anyone help me choose a paint color for my workout room. I have turned a bedroom into my own space and now I can't decide on a paint color. I already have greens and tans throughout my house. I plan on painting our bonus room a brownish coral look. So I didn't want to use that look. It is now painted Chestertown Buff from BM. That is kinda a yellow gold. I'm sick of it, so yellow is out. I have scoured the internet and this site trying to find something I like. I am usually so much better at this than I am right now. I am on vacation from work and planned to get this done before my time was up. I have three black and white prints of Marilyn Monroe to hang. She is working out in these photos is why I chose the prints. Plan to frame them in black. I want a classy look for the room. I want names of any paint that is suggested if possible and brand. I had a quart mixed of what I thought I loved until I slapped some on the wall. Now I am starting over. Also I have boys who might partake in use of my room.

I used 2 colors in mine--they were leftover from my 2nd floor BRs. One is a grass green & one is a sky blue. I used a high gloss white for the trim. Very bright, tropical & motivating. :)

Yeah I was going to say blue too. I know someone who built a huge house and painted every wall in the house sky blue! I thought she was insane but once I seen it with all the oak trim and flooring I was very comfortable and relaxed, I was totally amazed.

My vote is blue!

Hmm - I would go with a rich, creamy vanilla-type of color. And if you're doing weight training, you could maybe put mirrors on one wall. (maybe). I prefer neutrals and especially for a workout room, but that's just me. The black and white photos would look awesome on a dark red wall. You could do three cream walls and one red wall. That look is always sophisticated and the red wouldn't overpower.

I agree with the poster that said it would look good to have one wall red and other other three a more tame color. A deep red would look really good with your black and white pictures and I was going to say something similar. Also red and green are more complementary colors so it would go with the rest of your house.

Mine is a very vibrant spring orange / tangerine color.

.. not too concentrated that it looks neon or anything, "spring-y" enough that it looks like only one coat-- but vibrant none-the-less!!

Oh, I forgot to add that I have one of the Marilyn Monroe working out photos, framed in black, in my sky blue room. It looks good!

I coordinated my workout room to the predominant colors of my workout gear - purples and blues. I painted my walls light purple with 2 dark purple hortizontal stripes. the purple matches my high step (from the firm), my yoga mat and dynabands. I painted words of motivation in bosu ball blue within the stripes which is also the color of my stability ball. it sounds weird, but it looks kinda cool.

Mine's a buttercream yellow (soft but definitely yellow) and it's lovely when the morning sun shines in. It's a happy room. It'd be a lot happier, still, If I could knock down the wall that separates it from the bedroom next door. I really need the space and I'd have four huge windows. If only...

Personally, I think dark colors (red, gold, etc.) are too "warm" looking and might make the room appear smaller and seem warmer (temperature wise) ..... two things you do not want for a workout room.

My room is a very, very pale lavendar. It's called "serenity", but I don't remember the brand.

JeanneMarie, Didn't you used to have a picture on here of your w/out room? If it was you then I have to tell you that I modeled my w/out room after yours! I loved it! And I love mine, so if it was you then thanks!
