So cool! Was watching the fifth season of the Sopranoes last night, volume 1, episode 3 when lo and behold there was Corrado Soprano sitting on a bench facing the Pabst Brewery. Believe it or not, I grew up right around the corner on 14th Avenue in Newark. About 2 blocks away.
I got so tickled! Only people from that area of New Jersey know the significance of the big brown Pabst bottle. When we were kids, we would look for it from the Parkway to know we were almost home. Also, when we were teenagers, the guys would go look for full beer cans that fell from the delivery trucks, LOL! Not that I want to be associated with the Wise Guys from Newark, but evidentely, that's the neighborhood Tony grew up in!
Did any of you other New Jerseyites have a relationship with that landmark?
