P90X

I feel so bad posting this as it seems as if it's all the buzz, and I could probably review old posts on the other boards to read all about it. Anyway, so many of you sound excited about this series, and also state that your husbands are excited enough to do it too. What's all the buzz about? Is the series as great as it sounds? How do you think this will compete with Cathe's newest series? I have SO many workout tapes that I just like to stick to Cathe's by now.

Thanks in advance for any info!

I have only preveiwed two of the 12 DVDs, but the videos look awesome and compliment Cathe's workouts. From what I have read on these forums and elsewehre, the videos deliver results.

My hubby liked the the structure of the program (nutrition program, rotations)... he isn't self-disciplined. :)

It took A LOT of convincing for me to purchase these videos (or any non-Cathe workout), but the buzz created on these forums convinced me these DVDs were different.

I DO NOT buy anything but Cathe videos, but after all that I read regarding the P90X I bought it. There is nothing like it. Fantastic. I can't wait for Hardcore, but I'd still buy the P90X. I just broke my "last few pounds" post prego plateau using the P90X and it's leaned me out. I also ate very clean and I'm sure this helped. It is a GREAT compliment to Cathe and you can't live without it.

If I were pregnant, I would wait and get it on ebay after delivery. It is not a series to begin while pregnant. I wouldn't have even wanted to do it 3 months post preg. My baby is 6 months old and this was really the optimal time for me to do it.

It is definitely strength, you don't buy it for cardio (although yes they compliment the strength well) I tend to sub Cathe for the cardio, but the strength is all about what "you" can do, not what the other's are doing. You do YOUR best. I also appreciate the stretches and yoga which I hated at first. My back and neck aren't giving me the problems that they were prior to P90X. It is well thought out and gives you your whole plan for 12 weeks.

I'd say go for it, but if you pregnant, wait until after the birth. As for Hardcore....you MUST buy it on the presale, of course!!;) :-(
