does anyone have this dvd? if so, what do you think of it and do you think it is considered tough? I have never done yoga, but with the rotation i'm doing it calls for yoga so I have been doing this one. At first I hated it, but now I actually can of enjoy it. Just wanted to know what anybody thought of this. And what other yoga w/o is good? Thanks for any input. Lori

I had been trying to get into yoga off and on before doing Yoga X, but it was the workout that really got me interested in it! I like the athletic feel of it, and like the way Tony instructs. It's also nice to have chapters, so I can skip some exercises (like the shoulder stand sequence, or the frog sit) when I either don't have time, or just don't feel like doing them.

I'm not much of a yoga person but I really like YogaX. It's always challenging and good for a nice stretch during the last segments.

The other Yoga workouts I LOVE are by Bryan Kest. He has a DVD out with 3 yoga workouts on the disk. It says that one is "beginner", another "intermediate" and the 3rd is "experienced" but I think all 3 are for anyone and everyone. Bryan tells you how to make each pose easier for those needed and then guides the more flexible into their challenge zone. I highly recommend it for variety. You buy that disk ($17 or so from Amazon.com) and you have 4 awesome yoga workouts!

Have fun!!!

I really enjoy this workout. My muscles feel good and worked from head to toe when I am done. I love the mild soreness I get the next day from this too. I have done this a couple of times before bed and then I just collapse into bed and sleep like a log. Yes, it is a good yoga workout!

I've done only beginner yoga workouts before trying P90X Yoga, so I can say that compared to the beginner workouts, P90X is tough. However, I can't compare them with the harder workouts by other instructors in the market.

I love P90X Yoga because it seems to go faster than others I've tried. I also find it challenging, and Tony Horton provides good tips and form instructions. It works my glutes and legs really well, and if you do all those push-ups as you go through the moving asanas, you'll feel it in your chest and triceps as well. Lots of planks, too, so you get good core work as well. Great workout.

I like Yoga X - my only problem with it is that it's so darned long. I usually sub Bryan Kest or Rodney Yee's Power Yoga for it.

I LOVE YogaX and always do it in it's entirety. It's very similar to either Bryan Kest's or Baron Baptist's power yoga (Baron's that I have are his three "hot yoga" workouts), if you are looking for something similar to YogaX and would like to mix it up a bit.

Thanks alot girls for your suggestions and reviews. Kathryn I dont see any chapters on my yoga X am I missing something? I think I will look into Bryan Kest and Baron B. for variety. Does anyone know if they sell this locally or only online? Thanks again, Lori

on your dvd control, if you can "skip channels" with one button, you can skip forward. It's not "chaptered" like Cathe DVDs are, in that you can't see a list of exercise and then click onto it. But once you're familiar with the workout, you can use that button on the remote, if you have that button, and skip forward.

hope this makes sense.
