P90X PLUS reviews.

I just did the Interval X and Abs/Core X last night for the 2nd time last night.

Interval X ROCKS! I love this workout - its 40 mins long - my heartrate stayed in the 80% category throughout most of the workout or higher - once I hit that mark, it was pretty much there the whole time or higher - which is AWESOME!

Interval X is simple to follow - you don't need alot of space - the intervals are 15 moves - one minute in length - and within the minute you do 20 sec low intensity, 20 sec medium intensity, and 20 seconds high intensity and then move on to the next move and the next minute and then repeat the whole thing again. Simple, easy, effective.

ABS/CORE X KICKS BUTT! I am LOVING this ab/core workout - it uses the pullup bar - so you hang from the bar and bring your legs up and out in various patterns and its TOUGH :) I have already done it twice!

I haven't done any of the other ones, but i already know I will be doing the regular P90X rotations and changing in the cardios and ab routines bc the XPLUS is tougher ( imo ) so far ;)

Thanks for the review RunDiggity!

My P90X+ should be shipped sometime this week. Can't wait to try these out! :)

I am jealous!! I would love to order these, and Amy Bento, and STS but while my heart says Go for it! My brain is saying And where will all this money be coming from?!
Oh well as long as I get STS and at least Amy Bento's kickboxing I will be very happy.

I totally agree!! I LOVE Interval + and Abs/ Core+. I love how Tony goes from using the bar to standing core, and then floorwork (banana masons anyone?? ;-) )

I did I+ for the 3rd time y'day and added ankle weights. Loved it!! :) And I kept the ankle weights on for A/C+- ouch!! }(

I did Total Body plus this morning and Upper Plus on Monday. They're awesome too! Let me know what you think of them and Kenpo + also! If you do the X+ classic rotation you use the X workouts along w/ it. That's what I'm doing and adding in my running & swimming for my triathlon training. It's working WELL for me so far, I'm on week 3!

Hey Jess,

What exactly are you doing for your triathlon training? I entered a sprint distance tri that's scheduled for June.

I got mine today and cannot wait to try them!

Interval X - do you consider it overall high impact? I am stil nursing a back injury and being extra careful.

Hey Gayle! My tri is in June also. Right now I'm keeping up w/ my running schedule (3x week- Tues, Thurs, & Sat longer run), and trying to get in 1-2 swims a week. I'll focus more on the biking once the weather cooperates, it's just WAY too cold right now for biking outdoors & I don't have a bike trainer.

That along w/ the X+ seems to be working well for keeping me strong and working on the cardio too!!

Hope that helps & I can go into more detail if you like! Feel free to email me as well!

I wouldn't say it's really high impact, you could modify a lot of it. Running in place, side kicks, hops, etc. I don't think it's as high impact as Plyo. Hope your back feels better!!

Help me out here. I'd like to order this as I am P90X junkie, but I can't see them on the website. What part of obvious am I missing? Thanks for the help.
Amy

OK, if you click on my webpage & then Shop for Products, you should pull up the store. Then click on videos & P90X and you will see P90X+. If you have ordered from Beachbody before you should already have been assigned a coach, but let me know if you have any questions!!

Hi RunDiggity! Your going to LOVE the rest of the workouts. I've done all of them now. There a fantastic compliment to P90x due to the fact that these have a "functional fitness" flair to them. You'll be surprised once you do Upper Body that you'll need to go significantly lower in weight due to the range of motion on these exercises. I'm just LOVING these!

Isn't Tony grand?;) Kathy

Awesome! I knew Tony wouldn't let us down. I wish I could sell off my old inventory before I can purchase P90X+! Then Cathe's STS is also coming - oh gosh ... I need a sugar daddy to buy me all these workouts!

HEY - anyone looking for a P90X COACH then contact Anne Dovel (it's not me, it's the lady who talks about her hard arms and her little brother on the infomercial).

She can be contacted at [email protected] - I dont know why they require you to have a coach but here you are anyway.

Regards,

I love Tony too!! Yeah, they do have a functional fitness to them which I love! It's not as much about reps as the original P90X, and some of the exercises you're going for time more than reps. But you'll still feel the burn! }(

LOL!!! The X+ workouts aren't too bad, 5 workouts for $60. :)

I know, so many good workouts, so little time!! And then there's going to be a P90X Shuffle workout that sounds awesome too! ;-)

I just finished Abs/Core + this morning and I loved it. It was a nice variety of seated, lying, standing and hanging moves which were pretty much all new moves or a new twist on some others. There were spider pushups like in Jari's Ripped to the Core. For the hanging moves from a pull-up bar, there were knee lifts, a mixed-bicycle move, a hanging pelvic tilt (isometric move - hold for 3 seconds and come down - I forget how many reps) and a rotating knee move. There was a move just like Lunge and Reach in Core Syngergistics. The standing moves required balance. There was a move that was like a combination of leg climbs and Fifer Scissors and a variation on the Mason Twist. There was a seated backstroke move which I liked and I used 3# weights. I think Mark used 7.5#. Also, a 360 degree chaturanga. For the standing work, there was a similar move that was also in Budokon Flow & Flexibility that I did this morning (down dog crunch)- starting from downward dog, go up on to demi-pointe, do a knee lift, and extend back into downward dog. Tracey did a standing split in between and Mark did another modification.

I think I'm going to like this one a lot more than ARX. I hope the rest of the workouts are as good as this one.

Marcy

Hey Marcy!! Glad that you got your X+!! I agree, I loved the hanging moves and the different types of ab/ core work. I love the Banana Masons & Cherry Bomb! Make sure to let me know how you like the rest of the workouts!

I did the ab/core workout on the upper body DVD and previewed a bunch of the rest.

A few questions:

1. For those that don't have one, what substitutions are you doing for abs using the pull up bar (or if you do, what ones would you recommend)?

2. Are all of you P90X "graduates?" And how long ago did you complete it? I did P90X like 3 years ago :)

3. Kenpo: It seemed like a bunch of the segments repeated themselves. Is that the case? Was it a good workout? (I actually bought this series so I could have another Kenpo!)
