P90X has me doing Push Ups on my Toes

I am starting week two of Phase three this week almost done:) Well today I didn't feel like doing a P90x workout so I did BodyMax 2. Boy that workout is hard. But I was so proud of myself I did all of the pushups on my toes:) Before I started P90x I could do maybe 4 on my toes normal speed. Never the slow count ones like Cathe does but today I did them all. Just thought I would share. I know you guys would understand how happy I am.

Congrats on your gains!!!!!!! You should be very proud and excited! I am finishing my second week of P90X and I haven't done any Cathe weight workouts, so I can't compare yet. But I know I am already doing way more toe push ups then I ever thought possible. Good luck with your continued progress!!

Congratuations!

P90X took me from my knees to my toes as well (I think the yoga workout helps as much in that respect as the upper body workouts).

Keep up the good work!
 
Great work Steph!!! I applaud you for your perseverence to get to this point in the P90X program. I just finished Week One, Phase One. Your post brings to mind a question I have about push ups and pull ups.

Question: When doing push and pulls ups, is speed your friend? Tony and the gang do both of these at pretty fast tempos. Does that make them more achievable, or less? More effective, or less? When I do the push ups at Cathe's single-count tempo, I feel like I get good range of motion. When I speed them up, I feel like I don't have the time and control to go down as deep. What say all you experts?
