P90X Graduates - which ones followed P90X diet strictly...

And how did it affect you? I already do South Beach Diet which has given me wonderful results combined with Cathe's workouts.

I checked P90X's diet, and its very close, except that I have to increase the protein and the veggies and watch the carbs a bit more.

How was your diet? Did you follow P90X's exactly or did you deviate a bit and still got wonderful results?

I will be starting it tommorrow and would love some input.

I am not leaving Cathe, NEVER, but won't be able to get some of her other workout DVD until December and want to try something else in the meantime.

I definitely deviated a bit and still got great results. I tried to follow carefully for Phase 1 but wasn't great during Phase 2 or 3. Good luck with the X!

I didn't followt the diet very closely the first round & while I was pleased w/ my results, I'm definitely seeing better results for round 2 (I'm in Phase 2 now) w/ very clean eating. I started w/ the SBD over 3 yrs ago now so I'm familiar w/ the plan & thought I was doing pretty well w/ the clean eating but have really buckled down this round! I'm still not following the exact diet plan, but am sticking to watching the carb (mainly just eating oatmeal, high fiber cereal, brown rice, sweet potatoes or other really good carb) w/ lean protein & lots of veggies. I'm also doing doubles, 2-3x a week of running or biking so I do have to make sure I'm eating enough for that.

I've been really happy with my strength gains & have gone from doing NO pullups to about 30 my last Legs & Back workout. I'm also doing well over 250 pushups during Chest & Back now. I LOVE P90X!!!

I'm looking to get a jumpstart at getting back in shape with P90X. I have not been as faithful with staying active so I'm hoping this isn't too advanced or that I can modify it enough to struggle through.

What happens after one completes the rotation? Back to previous workouts?

How often is it recommended?

I really love my Cathe workouts but I was hooked by the infomercial.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I finished Day 1 of P90X, Chest, Back and Ab Ripper.

Not too bad. I thought I was going to be overwhelmed but hey, Cathe is TOUGH also so I was able to do it, with no major difficulty. Some of the push ups I could only do half way, but the majority I didi find. I do the bent knees first and then I will move to the ones with no bent knees when I get more strenght.

Pull ups I did good too. Assisted with chair and then I will move on without the chair.

The Ab ripper was cool, but there were some that I had difficulty with. Of course, it is Day 1, so they said on the DVD that it is okay. It will get better as you get stronger, just like Cathe also says.
