P90X feedback

Hi everyone! I've seen a lot of you write about P90X and was wondering what the general consensus was on this series of DVD's. I was thinking of purchasing it to shake things up a bit, but wanted to first get some feedback from all of you. I welcome all opinions.
Thanks :)

i get much better results in his upper body than cathe and it shows. i can now do more straight leg pushups and i have been doing cathe for years. plyometrix and coresynergistics is unlike any workout i have done and alot of fun. he is very different compared to cathe so its a nice change of pace. i would go for it and buy. i have not been dissappointed though i have'nt done his kickboxing because people said it was easier than cathe. i bought the dvds separately, not in a bundle.

I bought the whole enchilada and am loving it; even the Kenpo which gets lukewarm reviews a lot. (I use 1.5 pound hand weights with that one).

I was going to do extra cardio, because this program is lighter on the cardio than anything I have ever done before and I was afraid of gaining body fat. However, my BF% is going down without it.

Abs are tucking in better, increased strength and lifting ability, and I am seeing much more definition. Even in my legs, which suprises me, because it is lighter on the weighted leg work....must be the Plyo.

Tony is chatty and sometimes messes me up on my counting, but I never turn him off (you can set the DVDs to play with him and the music, or just cues so you don't hear his chattering, etc). I kinda get a kick out of him.

The Yoga is 90 minutes: the last half is balance and abs. This has been very difficult for me, but I am seeing a lot of improvements. I always feel great when I finish it.

P90X and anything Cathe are best fitness investments I have ever made.

The P90X is the best investment I have ever made in workout tapes. This is the best series ever produced. The weight workouts are awesome and PlyoX is brutal.

I agree. It's definitley the system by which I now judge all other weight workouts, and they usually come up lacking.

I think it's excellent at upper body, core, plyo (effective without being a "jump as high as you can" sort of plyo), effective recovery both within each workout and as the 'recovery week,'and as an overall system. I personally needed a bit heavier work and glute-focueed work for my upper body, and some find the cardio not intense enough (it is intentionally kept moderate to keep you from using the energy that could go towards building muscle).

If you do an advanced search for "P90X" in the "open forum" under "title," you will find many posts about P90X.

I purchased the whole thing. I love cardio X and Plyo! Ab ripper and Core synergistic looks awesome but I have another week before I can do rolling with my piercing I am looking so forward to them. The only thing for me is the chin up bar I have to get an over the door contraption or something.

I am finishing up my third week, and I'm amazed at the results. There's a check in, if you'd like to see what people are doing and what they think about it.

i got a door gym but was uneasy about using it on the door because it was a little to wide for the door trim. i live in an appartment so didn't want to take any risks. now i put it between my bookstand and desk. its high enough for me and i'm 5'5".
