overtraining with insanity

ok, so i've seen the rotation recommended for insanity on the other post and my question is: Do you think doing such an intense workout 5 days per week would lead to overtraining? I'm thinking that mabe the workouts should be done everyother day due to the intensity. What are your thoughts? I have read that metabolic workouts like these are hard on the central nervous system and its imparative to only perform such workouts no more than 3 times per week.

I don't know what you mean by metabolic workouts? I personally feel all workouts are metabolic.
If you are referring to interval training or high intensity. I think it really depends on the person's fitness level.

by metabolic i mean high intensity cardio utilizing bodyweight. i'm going by what i have read on www.figureathlete.com On that site kettlebells are considered metabolic as well. Does that make sense? I guess your right about it varies between person to person. Some of us recover more quickly than others. Thanks for the response.

I just think metabolic is one of those new buzz words that covers too many workout styles.
As someone mentioned on another forum....BB is not sugar coating how hard these workouts are. If you do a lot of high intensity- high impact(they seem to be targeting runners) on a regular basis, over training shouldn't be an issue. However, if you're not use to this type of workout, I would structure the rotation with more rest in between.
