Hello,

I provide childcare for 2 year old little boy Monday-Friday...his mom will be going out of town to attend a wedding and me if I would keep the baby over the weekend, he would arrive Saturday 5am spend the night with me and then pick up on Sunday no later than 4pm. What would be a reasonable fee to charge her for this two days? Her regular full time rates are $140 per week that comes out to about $28 per day. Any recomdations would be greatly appreciated...I'm trying to be fair but at the same time don't want to be taken advantage of..we are a family of 7 with a very busy weekend schedules with all my boy's playing soccer. Hope to hear some recomendations soon! Thanks!!!

I paid $75 per night when my youngest was a baby. We needed to go to a wedding as well, the oldest was invited, but the 2 year old was not. Like you, it was my day home provider who cared for the little guy.

I used to pay $25 per day (about 8 hours), so we figured evening plus night = 3 x $25 or $75.00

I typically pay $100 per full day (including an overnight). So if we go away for a weekend and leave late Friday night and arrive home Sunday around noon, I would pay probably $225. I also leave money for incidentals (pizza or other easy meals), maybe $50 and don't ask for change. If they leave the change on the counter, I may pay more.

I have babysat over weekends myself for other families (that pay me, not as favors for friends), and $100 per full day was what I was paid also.

I am in the Midwest (Michigan). I know that rates for babysitting varies greatly by region, so you may want to consider that, too.
