Our Jack Russell Terrier .. ?? For you

Hi Everyone~

Had a general question regarding our Jack Russell Terrier... I know their are alot of pet lovers on the board.

Just recently I noticed a few small bumps on the back of her neck, I noticed they are generalized right where her collar would rub...(Now I keep her collar off)..
I did contact the Vet and they said it is most likely a abscess and as long as she is eating and not in pain not to worry to much, although she will have to come in for a check-up! The bumps have gotten smaller, now they are just rough/dry bumps that don't seem to be going away.

Any suggestions?

Jennifer,

I had a miniature schnauzer (14 yrs) and they are prone to 1-2 "bumps" as they get older -per the VET.

Schnauzer Bumps: These bumps are blackheads or pimples on their back. This can be related to allergies, metabolic disorders, or genetics. This is not a real serious problem (not at all life-treatening). Some Schnauzers will develop one or two of these during a lifetime, others get them much more frequently.

However, I did a search on JRT's and here is a thread you may be interested in:

BTW, I updated my PT with add'l RT pics, if you're interested.
