Opinions on Massages?

I've gotten a foot massage and back massage and they were both bliss. My hubby gave me a gift cert.for Christmas this year and I'm pretty sure I will get some sort of foot massage. My question is, how much am I supposed to tip? My foot massage was ages ago when I was on a cruise and my back massage was done by the owner who did not allow us to tip. Enjoy!

Edited to say, I've also had a full body massage and bath thingy b/c my hubby gave me a gift certificate on Valentines a few years ago. I felt a little akward at first, but got over it quickly. When I left my body was mush and I was so relaxed I thought I wouldn't be able to drive home.

Wow, I can't believe all the positive feedback! Reading all the answers (thank you, especially, Laurie) really eased my mind on it, so I will call tomorrow and book a massage. My gift certificate is generous enough to cover either one really long massage (75 minutes) or two short ones (30 minutes each). Am considering doing the short one, so I can spread them out and get two. Opinions?

Also, Laurie, I didn't know that massage can help with bruises--wish I had known that this summer, when I missed my footing on our stairs and wound up with a huge bruise on my backside that lasted for more than a month.

30 minutes goes by really quickly with a massage, but they are good if you want the person to concentrate more on specific areas. Since you're new to it, maybe the 2, 30 minute massages might work best for you.
