Morning ladies,

Sorry I've been lacking in posts lately. I don't know what my deal is - just been preoccupied with other things.

This morning was day 17 - Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. The ab work is really good but it's HARD so I don't feel like I do as many exercises as I need to do to feel it. Have to think about that... Eats are still good but I'm thinking that I'm too carb heavy. Going to try to work on that.

Becky, I hope you're enjoying your time with your family. I'm sorry your tooth is still bothering you. That doesn't seem right to me. Did you check with your dentist? I'd love to hear your thoughts about CLX... I'm tempted. I love Chalene and would love to do a 90 day rotation with her. I can't afford/don't have equip for STS and won't until we move back to the states so I'd like to try something like this. Maybe I can put it on my Christmas/Birthday list. Oh, and thanks for the sweet words about my girls. :)

Katie, so Insanity descriptions. The three major workouts we're doing now are:

Plyometric Cardio Circuit - This one has 2 sets of 4 exercises that are repeated 3 times (for a total of 6 rounds). Each exercise is 30-40 seconds long so you're going full speed for 2-2.5 minutes and then a 30 second water break. Examples of the exercises are suicide drills, frog jumps, level one drills (down for 4 push ups/run in and out for 8), basketball hops, ski abs, etc.

Pure Cardio - This one does about 15 minutes straight of pure cardio, each exercise 1 minute, no breaks. I almost like it better because there are no repeat exercises and it just goes by quickly, but then there is the ab workout right after it and that one is tough - lots of "c-sit" positions.

Cardio Power & Resistance - This one is pretty similar to the circuit with a few resistance training (dips, push ups, etc) thrown in.

These workouts are about 35-40 minutes, the 2nd month they move up to 60 minutes. Honestly what I find strangest is that my cardio energy can be full speed but I have a hard time making my muscles do what I want them to! :)

Does this help? How is Collin? Is he feeling better? Did you resched your PT appt? (HAPPY FRIDAY!!!)

Kate, sometimes new teachers are good. Gina will do well, you know she's a good student. I'm praying for a peaceful transition for you and a burst of confidence for Gina! What kind of retreat is it that you're going to? I miss community stuff like that!

Klaudia, is Nevena going to a district or private preschool? Is she excited? How was the shopping? Your weekend sounds so great!

Robin, why did you delete your STS tracker? Are you still going to do it? How are your kids back in school? Good luck with FD this weekend! I did see that story on FB about the guy slapping the little kid in the store... oh geez. I don't know what I (more seriously Ryan) would have done in that situation.

Nina, we all have our slumps! The last two days have been really hard for me. I really DID not want to get out of bed this morning but I was so glad I did. I hate dreading my WO all day! Sorry about the fight with DH. Sometimes I do that too and then totally regret it! Ugh, I hope today is a better day for you!

Angie, thanks for the descriptions of the Insanity workouts. Sounds intense! It's cool that you and Ryan are doing this together - I'm sure it makes it easier to get out bed in the morning! The pictures of the girls yesterday were too precious!
Becky, enjoy your company this weekend! Any big plans? Hope you are still able to get your workouts in - or at least some activity.
Kate, LOL, I prefer hotels too! Chris is trying to plan a camping trip for us and I am cringing! Have fun on your retreat this weekend!
Klaudia, I am soooo jealous that you are going to the beach! Did you say yesterday that you were going to run last night? Or over the weekend? I just dropped a bunch of money on new shoes for Collin too - can't imagine buying for 3!
Robin, that story about the dude in wal-mart is crazy! People who don't have kids just do not understand what it is like - you cannot always control them, and sometimes there are deeper behavioral problems going on. Everyone should know that when they go into a PUBLIC PLACE to shop, they are going to have to deal with other people and their behavior!
Nina, I am sorry that you have been in a funk this weekend, and sorry about the fight with DH - I am famous for picking fights. Can you take some time to do something just for you this weekend (other than running)?
Lisa, ^5 on GS Legs - that is one of my favorites for sure. Any big plans for the weekend? What is the weather like this time of year in Hawaii?

Busy day ahead for me - no workout, rest day for me. Up at 5 am to bake cookies (my coworkers gave me a hard time yesterday cause I haven't baked any for so long, haha!), PT at 7 am, work by 8 am (hopefully!), haircut for Collin after work and eyebrow wax for me, then out to dinner for MIL's birthday. WHEW! Check in when I can... Have a great Friday!!

angie, i got up this am and am glad i did, though i was REALLY dragging on my run. i actually got hungry at mile 4 and did not know how i'd finish:confused: anyways, i did, and i am glad i did. your wo's sound really intense.

no big plans for today. i am dropping in to a vet clinic i applied to. they are not hiring, but i wanted to just meet the owner, etc. hope to go swim with the boys. katie, i like yur suggestion about doing something for myself. i feel a bit paralyzed about doing that, but i am going to try to go to the base gym to a class at 4:15 today canned trx. it uses some sort of pulley resistance routine. i hope it hits all body parts. we will see if i get there.

Morning!

Up early (for me) again. Taking the girls to my aunt's donut shop for breakfast-it's Milla's birthday today and that was her pick:) We have a swim party at our friend's house this afternoon and I want to squeeze in a Costco trip between the two. Never did legs or ran yesterday-ever since vacation I feel like such a slacker. I can't wait for school so I can get back on track with my exercise and eating. Will try to do legs, shoulders, and abs when we get home later. Not gonna promise anything.

Angie, I hear you on being preoccupied. At least you're slacking on personals and not your workouts! Nevena is going to go to a program at our local high school called "Teens and Tots". It's 2 days/week for 2 1/2 hours with the option of a 3rd hour. It's a co-op class: there's a preschool teacher, high school students interested in education careers, and their teacher. Basically the kids get one on one attention and they're offering the 3rd hour free cause there's so many kids who want to take the class. And it's $30 cheaper/month than a class at the Early Childhood Center! She can't wait:) Shopping was ok if you like taking 3 kids shoe shopping. Boys are way easier-sneakers and a pair of loafers-done! Girls need gym sneakers, fun sneakers, boots, ballerina flats all in different colors! I can't wait for the weekend either-just gotta figure out how I'm gonna watch the game-MSU plays at noon:)

Katie, your cookie post on FB looked so good! You have lucky coworkers! Jealous of your haircut-can't see my sylist til the 26th! I will look like Medusa by then! I used some of the girls b-day money from last year-there's no way I can spend that much just for shoes!

Robin, good luck with the FD at the bbq! Your rotation looks great!

klaudia, thanks for the link. i know nothing about them. maybe the instructor will know about kettlebells! that would be cool. back to school is a full time wo i think. your motivation will be back. what about trying 4ds for a bit just for variety and the time issues? that school sounds great!

No workout today. but we ARE going to the Dayton Airforce Museum. Should be fun.
Later today will *maybe * go to a couple of the libraries here (my sister is a librarian and wants to check them out* ........possibly (HOPEFULLY! ) the outlet malls too !!!

DH took today off so the long weekend starts now ! :) :)

Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry I did not post yesterday but I moved cubicles and I spent my quiet time getting my new cube setup. Then my day was crazy. Yesterday I did KBX and GS Bi's and Shoulders. Today was Insanity Core Cardio & Balance and a 15 min run. I am hoping to do Chest and Tri's tonight.

Becky, have fun at the Airforce museum and I hope you make it to the outlets.
Nina, I know it is hard to take time for ourselves but hopefully you can squeeze some in this weekend.
Klaudia, sorry about the missed workouts. Just do something when you can until you have the time again to devote to workouts.
Robin, your rotation looks good. I like the idea of doing switching it up every week.
Katie, you are so nice to get up early to make cookies. I will have to check out FB.

Okay, my coworker who sits on the other side of me is really LOUD! I need to tell him to use his indoor voice and stop SHOUTING!!!!
 
Hey girls, I finally mopped my floor. It's been begging me for weeks. I hate doing it and I put it off...

It's finally starting to look like fall here and I'm thankful for it. While I love heat, I don't appreciate it without a pool or ac!

Colleen, LOL about your coworker! :) So, you're not doing CCB everyday? What do you think of CCB? I was surprised it wasn't more stretching.

Klaudia, that preschool program sounds awesome! I hope she likes it. I wish my kids were in an American preschool. The schools here are good but just not as cute and fun...

Robin, your rotation looks great! I'm debating what I want to do post insanity... especially since I will have not done weights in 2 months!
