When I went home for lunch there was an envelope from my insurance co. I have my homeowners & auto insurance thru the same co. Inside was an auto insurance card w/my name & new address but a DIFFERENT CAR! Also a different agent......
I called the agent on the new card & tried to explain the problem. They told me they didn't care & I should contact my own agent.
I called my insurance co. & they said how strange, someone w/the same name lived at your house before you bought it. I said no you numbskull (OK I didn't really call her a numbskull }( ), there's another Laura out there living at a different address & now her insurance is all screwed up!
We're all completely baffled. At first I thought they'd just automatically notified my auto agent when I changed my homeowners, but evidently that's not the case. The policy numbers are different & my insurance is A-OK. But the poor other Laura, well, I think she's in a bit of a mess........
