Aside from the fact that Cathe is a completely different instructor, how does the intensity of her gym workouts compare with the P90X workouts? For anyone who has now done atleast one or two of hers and completed the P90X workouts? I'm very curious?

Sorry you haven't gotten an answer yet! Here is what I JUST posted for lindadrobinson (Linda) Hope this helps!

I just started the P90X series about 3 weeks ago and am a VERY proud member of "Rut Busters" found on this very forum.

I am not sure it is quite as *intense* as Cathe but it challenging and hard. After (almost) three weeks I am seeing results. I am getting stronger through my upper body. What P90X offers that is so different from Cathe is basically a ton of push-ups (ones you couldn't imagine in your wildest dreams) and a ton of pull-ups, oh and a yoga that still kicks my arse! That may turn you off but I am getting pretty darn happy with the results thus far.

I highly recommend the pull-up bar. I bought one for $15.00 at Play it Again Sports. Most any sporting goods store will have them...try Sears, I've seen them there. Mine has two round "cups I screwed into the doorway and the bar "fits" into the cups. Works great! I cannot do any pull-ups without the assistance of my toe but I am getting closer!

I do think it is a good program to rotate with Cathe, can't really think of a better one.

I am seeing results in regards to my upper body strength, endurance and upper body muscle tone.

P90X does little for the lower body so I am working Cathe in to keep the strength going in the legs and butt.

I say think about what your goals are, get it and if it is not for you, sell it on ebay and surely get all your money back.

Hope this helps!

I thought the strength work was as or nearly as challenging as Cathe's (except for the push ups/pull ups, which were much more difficult). Cardio, however, is much easier, which is good for me because my cardio ability trails far behind my strength.

Thank you to both of you for your responses. I was trying to compare it with her new hardcore workouts. Maybe that's what you guys were commenting on. Thank you for your responses.

I haven't gotten my HC's yet, but I'll compare when I've used them for a while.

You might get more responses to this question if the title of the thread mentioned HC and P90X! "One more time" might not attract the attention of the people who could answer you.
