I have heard this term used over and over around here, and although I'm reasonably sure I have figured out the MEANING of the word, what in the heck does DOMS actually stand for?!? It's gotta be an acronym for something, right? I'm pretty sure the meaning has something to do with sore (leg) muscles after a work out...does it apply to any other area of the body or is it a word specifically created for the legs???

Please don't laugh at me!:p

Have a great work out!

LOL! Wendy, don't feel bad, this question gets asked alot! I remember a while ago I posted a question in the preg forum, and someone replied using very technical medical terms. But she kept referring to the onset of menstruation as "AF". I racked my brain for at least a day, coming up with all sorts of ideas, but couldn't figure it out. I finally asked what it meant - Aunt Flo. LOL!

Cheers,
Sandra
