I don't expect 99% of you to have a clue what I'm asking, but I'm really stuck trying to figure out how to put together a report at work - which is why I'm on the forum. I can't figure it out, so I'm distracting myelf.

Does ANYONE use Cognos in their job? I have to figure out how to get this query to total eligible earnings for 401k discrimination testing, but the period of eligible earnings is going to be different for some people.

I don't know any forums where I can go to brainstorm with other geeks like me!

Several of my clients use cognos with our product - unfortunately I can't help you, but this might be a place to get help...

Is it an HRIS product that you sell? I've used CYBORG and now use Ultimate Software.

No its an ERP Business Management System. Our clients will export data out of our system into Cognos for doing GL reporting we don't do. It gives them more flexibility.

Oh. Cognos is a great product when it works. Mine kept freezing on me today right before I was to leave for the day (Friday before a week's vacation). Now I have to go in on one of my vacation days to get the info. I needed. ARRRGH!
