Been wondering about what kind of pull-up bar to get when I got to thinking- I have a Hoist home gym with a lat pull down bar. Maybe I could use that. I set the weight stack to the max (210 lbs) and to my surprise, I did a chin up. My 20yr old DS was watching and was as shocked as I was. I proceeded to do a total of 4.

But then I got cocky and tried a pull-up. Could only pull myself up halfwayx( but its a start. Definitely more difficult.

Anyway, I'm just glad this works and I don't have to buy a bar.

Yeah, but pretty soon you are going to be able to do those 210 lb lateral pull downs and you'll have to go buy a pull up bar anyways! ;)
