OK, I've found a use for the shrug that I approve

Formal wear. I can see wearing the shrug in the winter over a spaghetti strap or strapless gown, or some such outfit. Maybe a fur shrug, or a velvet shrug. Or even something lace. Much better than a shawl or scarf, which might not necessarily be warm enough. And somewhat more attractive than the bolero jacket, in which I can find no redeeming qualities at all.

Whew! I feel so much better now. I hate not being able to see the positive in something. :)

I thought the same thing. I know doing the shrug with heavy weights is NOT a good thing for females soooo thought you had a solution for us not building our traps large! Ha! Guess I need to go read the thread to see what you ARE talking about.:7

RE: Red!

LOL! Sorry for the confusion. But since we're on the topic.....

I actually go pretty heavy on shrugs. About 140-150 w/a bar, supersetting w/front lateral raises on the cables @ 90 lbs. They never really bulked me up. I think I could probably do more weight but stopped there b/c it scared me. Oh also I cheat & use lifting straps.

RE: Red!

Maximus, your avatar is X-ed out... I think you need to post a pic we can see!!! (particularly if you are wearing a shrug doing a 150 pound shrug...:+ )
