its been a while since i have done a more traditional ab workout but wanted to tack one on yesterday. so i pulled out a dust bunny butt and guts and did the stability ball abs. i really didn't feel it until last night but this morning OWIE! upper body really sore(good sore not bad painful) and slightly in the waist.

looking at other dvds i could let go to trade to get core max back. i traded last year b/c i just wasn't doing many regular ab workouts but kind have been second guessing that for awhile. now i really want it back.

when it comes to traditional ab work cathe does it hands down NOTHING not even my own routines get me this much DOMS for a 15 min workout.

just wanted to get that out there

I believe that happened to me the 1st time (ok 1st couple times) I did B&G abs. I thought I was ok until I sneezed. Yowza!!!! Got me back on the ab wagon real quick. Abs are my least favorite, they tend to be boring to me. I need more active exercise (I don't do well w/ yoga or pilates either, for the same reason). I tend to clock watch when doing abs, which I'm sure Cathe would beat me with a wet noodle if she knew. Mmmmm......pasta :p Now I just suck it up and do it, even if I just do half of a 15 or 20 min ab workout, its better than nothing. I do confess, the last week or so, I was slacking big time on the abs, just wasn't feeling like it. However, I did abs from KPC today and an ab workout the day before yesterday, so I seem to be back on track. I'm pretty good about keeping up with them now, I'll miss a day or to, but have done well at keeping on track with the ab work. Abs are the hardest thing for me to be consistent with, especially bc the normally come at the end. At the end, I'm ready to be done.;)

I LOVE that stability ball abs segment on B&G! And to think, it's a 'bonus' segment, not even part of the actual workout!

LOL about the wet noodle!, i admit to not doing much traditional stuff right now but i should mix it in more just for a change. pilates seem to be such the basic stuff over and over and while i love it and its effects this is feeling is WAY better feeling accomplished

kathryn,oh dear i am waiting now for cardio core circuit b/c if i feel this now how am i gonna feel circuit style!!!

spyrosmom, I'm with you...the abs sections bore me. I used to skip them, but now that I've incorporated them more intensely into my routines, I'm amazed at the difference. I can even feel my core being used to hold me up while I'm sitting at my desk at work. They do make a difference, even though they're not always my favorite. And Cathe does not joke around when it comes to abs! Although that's the case for everything she does, really. :p
