Hi all, so I did my third am workout this morning! Yippie!! I've actually managed to get up at 4:30 on Mon., Tues., and Wed. and workout. I've also mangaed to eat clean and feel great! Of course, I've already been on the scale (would someone just throw that EVIL device out of my house!!!). But I am trying to reralize that it is not the number but how I feel and how strong and fit I become.

Quick question- I'm trying to eat clean close to the BFL way but am also trying to keep a watch on how many points (WW) I eat (so I can be sure I'm not going way over). Does anyone know of a place to calculate points from a recipe without knowing the calories and fiber etc.? Thanks!

Have a great day!!
Jean

Boy Jean, I'm impressed with your dedication. The last time I was up at 4:00 in the morning was to milk cows...exercise was the farthest thing from my mind at THAT time of day!! Keep up the great work! It will pay off...you'll start to see results within two weeks of working out. And stay off that scale. Once a month is often enough to weigh but the best measure of your success is to keep track of your measurements (bust, waist, hip, thigh, upper arm). Measure yourself once a month and toss that scale in the trash.}(

Hi Jean!

Congrats on your morning workouts!! :)

As for WW...I have the BFL cookbook and what I've done is just calculate points for each ingredient, add them up and then divide by the number of servings. I think it is pretty close. Alot of the ingredients don't have points, so there's not that much to add up. Otherwise, I think if you subscribe to the WW online thing (don't remember what it's called) you can put recipes in and it will calculate for you. It's not free though...which is why I don't have it!!

Also, after I make a BFL recipe, especially something like the chili or soups which make more than 2 servings, I immediately portion them out into separate containers so there's no messing up the points. Kinda keeps me honest!

Hope it helps!

:) Nicole

I can't help you with anything you asked, but wanna say WOW! That is some awesome dedication and you must be feeling great! Congratulations!

Thanks for everyone's encouragement. I think I just realized that I'm not just plump- I'm really heavy and I need to do something. I can no longer blame the "baby weight" (my youngest is 2 and1/2) and I can't make excuses anymore (can't get to the gym, too tired at night etc.) I have to say that I am constantly motivated by the incredible people on this site and the strength and dedication I read about daily here! It really inspires me!

Again- thanks for the kind words!

Hi Jean,

I've just recently started to read the forum. Well, since I signed up for the road trip I've been really curious. I'm so excited to meet Cathe!

I have been working out at home in the morning for at least 2 years. I love it! It's now part of my morning routine. My husband teases me about clapping when I work out. I very seldom work out to anyone but Cathe.

I have been lifetime with WW for 1.5 years now. One of the biggest changes I made when I lost 15 lbs. was adding weights. I try to do some kind of weight work 3 times a week. I must admit, I do workout every day, but only because I have so much fun. The weights truly increased my metabolism, coupled with eating well was the right combination for me. I am curious as to what BFL means? Keep up the good work, you're doing great I'd say.
