Good morning ladies..

Just getting ready to head out to Chris' baseball game..I am hoping to get the Cardio Fusion premix and medicine ball abs sometime today..

Be back later..

Hi Kathy, and all! Happy Halloween!

Kathy, I hope the baseball game goes well! They must be almost done, I would think, right? Maybe they'll be the champs!

Chris, so sorry to read about Jake! Is he going to be able to trick or treat? Awwwww! You know, I was worried about my kids getting the flu all week. Apparently 20% of the middle school was out with it (one day they sent home 11 kids, I guess). And, there are a lot of siblings between the two schools, so I imagine it'll be hitting the elementary school next week. Sure hope you can manage some sort of halloween fun for him! You and your candy corn -- you crack me up! That's one kind of candy, well, along with circus peanuts, that I just cannot tolerate -- it gives me a headache. But chocolate? Well, another story, of course!

As Hottie said, my mom is from Southern CA, so it's about a six hour drive or one hour flight plus five hours of airport travel/wait time. No kidding -- it's really almost about the same amount of time to drive or fly, but usually she flies since it's sort of easier in a way and flights are cheap (usually). She's really here to see the boys play soccer -- we were running out of games -- but I think it's fun for her to see the boys excited about halloween, too. She may go trick or treating with us. I drove her on the street yesterday to see if she can handle it. It's just so much fun -- everyone knows nearly everyone, and it's really like one big block party with the kids running loose and the parents taking wine breaks, etc. There's a haunted house at the end of the street that I've never been in because Dylan's always been afraid to go but Larry always wants to go, so I'm the one who waits outside with Dylan. :)

No workout for me this morning!!! Darn it -- why didn't I just do it?! I felt like it was too late when I finally got up and didn't want to be working out with my mom and the kids up, and of course now everyone is still in bed. Oh well, there will be walking tonight, of course, but the intensity will pale in comparsion to 4DS KB which is what I thought I would do. I'm so lame. I can totally see why people who don't have some sort of rotation or plan fall off the workout wagon, because I seem to be living that story these days!!!

Get this.... yesterday morning there was a complete mad scramble for the car keys -- just nowhere to be found (right as we're due out the door, of course). Well, they'd been sitting on the counter when the cleaning woman was here, so I called her and asked what she'd done with them. "Oh, I didn't do anything -- they should be there." Last night I'm sound asleep and the phone rings. It's 9:30. The cleaning lady has found the keys! Apparently her helper thought they were hers and so put them with her stuff and she walked off with them. ARRRG! That's my penance for not cleaning my own toilets, isn't it?!

It was a fun day yesterday with the halloween parade and party. Those kids are so darn cute. One third grade girl was Shirley Temple -- so friggin' cute!!

Have fun today!!

Happy Halloween!!

And yes Beth that is totally doing penance for not cleaning your own toilets! You know, this is terrible -- I don't know if I ever mentioned my very very unique roommate from college but she was not what i'd call a clean, neat person. Anyway, I'm not amazing (and I've certainly improved since then), but my areas always seemed spotless compared to hers with the exception of a couple places. I just couldn't bring myself to clean toilets. My mother never made us clean anything as kids -- always like, good students shouldn't have to be demoted to housework kind of attitude -- so doing some activities were harder than others but i just would get nauseas at the idea of cleaning toilets! So, bless her heart, my roommate would clean my toilet for me so I wouldn't have to. Nothing else and god forbid she clean the public areas in a timely manner but I never had to worry about my toilet!

I'm with you Beth on the waking up thing. I'm still in bed typing this (notebook was next to me). I'm a little pissy with Joe too. I told him he could push the alarm but I didn't tell him he could turn it off. It's almost 9a and he's still snoring next to me. But I know I'm still sick if I can sleep more than 6 hours at a time. That said I'm going to have some kind of awesome cardio party today of some sort. I need it with all the halloween candy I BOUGHT FOR THE KIDS. I must say though, after completing week 2 of Meso 2 (though my bis were fried by the last set and i couldn't do the "correct" weight), I'm really glad I got STS. By having such a regimented program, I've been a lot better about doing weight lifting (except for working my abs).

That party sounds so cute Beth!

Kathy -- woohoo for Chris! Would they get dressed up?

Ok, now I really have to get up. I want to take Evee to this pet store having a halloween sale...

Hey Guys!!

Had a busy morning, doing Zach's paper route with him and collecting. Plus he accidently gave someone a double paper, so we had to go to the store and buy one to deliver to the last person. It was kind of crazy with all 3 boys, let me tell you.

So it's Halloween! Not sure if I updated, but I ended up taking Jake to the Pediatrician yesterday. I called and told them what happened during the night with his breathing, and they wanted to see him. I figured it would be a good thing considering we were headed into a long weekend. My fears were put at ease, and they determined he "just" has a bad cold. He's feeling better today, though I haven't taken his temperature and his voice still sounds like Willy Whistle. BUT.. he will go T or Ting tonight! At least our cul de sac. Both Greg and I have the night off! Another first is, Zach is going to be picked up by his friend's mom, and they're going T or Ting in his grandmother's neighborhood (TONS of houses!). And then, he's going back to his friend's house... to sleep over! He has not slept over a friend's house since he was diagnosed with diabetes, due to the fact of having to check his sugar during the night. So this is a first for us and him, He's excited, I'm glad I have lots of chocolate available to 'stress eat'.:eek:

Kathy: Your day sounds busy crazy! I forgot if you said, do your kids go T or Ting? or to a party? Thinking WIN WIN WIN thoughts for Chris and his team today!!!! Have a good workout, if you get to it!

Beth: I know, the flu is rampant here too. that's why I was worried about Jake. We were kidding at the office yesterday , saying probably THE scariest costume this year would be a mask, the one you wear if you're sick (Jake had to wear one in the office). And then the Ped pulls out a PIG NOSE , and says, NO, THIS is scarier! But scariEST would be putting the mask OVER the pig nose and having it stick out a bit. .... Enjoy the time with your mom. She must be in heaven getting to see your kiddos (oh, and you! LOL!). For some reason I had in my head that she lived in the Midwest. Doesn't your sister? .... It's hard to find time to work out when you have house company. Though usually my mom will TELL me to work out, to de stress (while I'm cooking the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner for 15!). .... Too funny about the house keys yesterday! JEALOUS of you having someone to clean your toilets! :p ..... Your neighborhood party sounds like a blast! Have fun!

Hottie: I have to say you made me LOL yesterday with your post. Something about getting hot pepper juice in your eye! (Not funny, but it was!). ... STS defintiely keeps you on a weight lifting schedule. I bought WAY too much candy for tonight. In the back of my mind thinking I'd put a few bags away for any chocolate future emergencies. Is that bad? Have fun at the Pet store!!!!

I'm going to go do some interval workout to kick my ass and make me sweat like a pig!

(which I will become later today, no doubt!)

BBL to let you know what I do! (and with more halloweenies!)

OMG, I ended up doing Hardcore Extreme: High/Low Intervals which was 8 intervals of lowmax and IMAX3 alternating (2 of each) and THEN the cardio blasts from KICKMAX . I made it through 3/4's of the blasts, when she said "Lunge intervals" , I FF'd it, but it went right to the stretch. So I skipped the last 2. (I wonder what the last one was?).

Anyways, I'm good for calorie burn today! WOW!

so jealous of you chris...i've been dealing with family drama and stress eating and i don't think my workout is going to happen. sigh...

Chris, great workout! I can't even imagine that combo! (I never did get that dvd). I'm sooooo glad to hear Jake is not so bad off. So great that both you and Greg have the night off! Hope you all have a blast! Oh, and funny about having to go to the store to buy a paper for the last house -- the things people don't realize about how their paper gets to them (and other stuff like that!).

Hottie, I meant to tell you..... it seems every time I even handle a jalapeno I end up rubbing my eye!

Our earthquakes had their first victory today! Whooo-hoooo! We were all so excited -- I swear I almost did a Brandi Chastain...... Dylan's team, on the other hand, got totally creamed again. Lost track, but it must have been about 8 to 1. My mom enjoyed both games.

Oh, we're from the midwest originally, and some of Larry's family is sort of there -- that's probably the mix up!

gotta run.... have a great time with halloween festivities!

Morning ladies! I hoe to make today a better one than yesterday...and I started by forgetting today was daylights savings so at least I get an extra hour to do stuff! Going to walk the dog now and cardio later...thinking about trying IM3 again. Hope you all had a good Halloween with your kids! Not a single kid came to our door so we just ate most of the candy ourselves...

Happy November! Let's hear the halloween reports, girls! Vilma, are you with us this weekend? Thought about you probably not having time to press play this month -- I certainly didn't!

We had a good time last night. In the end, it was just the boys and me. As the day went on, my mom just decided she'd probably slow us down, and didn't want to. Larry had been chainsawing trees and brush all day, and he was pooped and came to me and said "do you mind if I don't go?" It was fine -- in fact, I think it was somewhat easier because I knew I was in charge. Last year I think because there were two of us, we lost track of the kids more easily.

We didn't get home from soccer yesterday until almost 2:00, so lunch was at 2:00 and then we had to leave by 5:30, so I fed the kids an early dinner, but I ate nothing but a couple of bites of their food. So, guess what I had for dinner?! I ate nothing while we were walking, but when we got home and they started giving me everything with even a hint of nut or peanut butter, well, I ate a big pile of candy. Oh well! I did 4DS kb this morning -- I so enjoy that one!! I probably should have done something longer, but I knew I needed to do my chiro exercises, too, so it ended up a fair bit over an hour.

The kids are already eating candy! It's 7:13 and I cannot stop them. So nice having the extra hour, wasn't it? Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Rabbit Rabbit!

The hardest thing about Halloween is that the next day is NOVEMBER!
I'm just not so ready for the "holiday season" yet.

We had a good Halloween, considering, I posted a bunch of pictures on FB last night. But it rained. It was unseasonable WARM out (70!) but it was raining. The good thing, I guess, was that having costumes on , you hardly felt it. Zach went to his friends neighborhood and to sleep over and I took Alex and Jake around our close neighborhood while Greg stayed home to hand out candy. And then we switched. Greg took them farther down the main street, but the rain ended up picking up. they were soaked when they got home! I stayed home and handed out candy and started watching Ghost Hunters Live (cool show!). AND dipping into the candy bowl

I should be doing a good long cardio today again, but I can't . Woke up with a stinkin sinus headache that I've been fighting all morning. Did tylenol, and then Neti Pot, and then Tylenol Sinus plus putting my head over steaming water for 10 minutes. I think the steam helped the most, but it's coming back. And yes, my boys were into their T or T candy early this morning too! Trading adn eating. And they've been playing "Ghost Hunters" (pretending they're looking for ghosts) all morning too. They're funny, but LOUD, and that's not helping my head.

I'm not so happy with the headache, since I REALLY wanted to enjoy this day. It's been over 10 years since I didn't work "Daylight savings time --Fall Back" night and have to WORK that extra hour! But i'm stuck with this headache. Drats!

Beth: Your night sounds like fun. Hey, candy happens to all of us, no worries.

Hottie: Oh I'm with ya on the Halloween candy eating! I bought way too much (on purpose?...no, not me!!). Hope you find something fun to do with your extra hour today!

Going to go hit the shower. I thought about a workout, but I just can't . This headache sucks and I have to go into work tonight. I HAVE to get rid of it!!! I start MESO 2 tomorrow !!!

HI everyone...

Halloween was fun here too. It rained for us too. We were done thank goodness when it started getting harder then a steady drizzle. It rained all night that I could tell and most of the day so far...The kids both dressed up and trick or treated. I wasn't expecting Lauren to go around. But, Vic wasn't home last night so she had to go with Chris and I. So, she figured she may as well collect candy too. They got alot of candy...

The baseball game didn't go as well. Chris' team lost. But, that was there first loss. So, the other team has to play them again to win the championship. So, keep your fingers crossed for him. The final game is Monday night (tomorrow)....

As far as workouts, I didn't get to anything yesterday. So, I did the mixed cardio premix on Cardio Fusion and medicine ball abs this morning...I did pretty good with the kids candy last night. I ate 1 little heath bar (I love them and haven't had one in so long) and a little nestle crunch bar. I think that is all I had last night...I have been eyeing it today. But, so far I have kept myself busy with laundry and vacuuming and haven't eaten any yet!

Don't you just love daylight savings day. I feel like I have so much extra time today! Love it..

Chris: I hope your headache is gone soon!! Sending healing thoughts your way...

Beth: Chris was eating a kit kat bar at about the same time. I said no candy before breakfast. So, he ate it with cheerios. Oh well!!! What are you gonna do?!!

Hottie: Enjoy your cardio today!! Love that extra time today!! oh and from yesterday: yes, the kids dressed up. Chris was a baseball player (he is so obsessed with baseball) and Lauren had a Colonial woman's dress and bonnet and went as a colonial lady..They were both cute. I will try to post a photo later...

That's crazy weather, Chris! It was warm for us, too -- just a perfect night, really -- we were so lucky. Last year it was cold and rainy. I'll look for your fb pics -- I didn't see them earlier when I was just cruising.

Kit Kat with Cheerios -- what a combo!! Sorry about the baseball game -- first loss has to be tough!

Just dropped my mom at the airport -- she was so early -- I don't know if she didn't think about the time change or she'd just had enough of us, but she wanted to go, so I took her. I stopped at home depot on the way back home to get a kitchen faucet. We've been living without one for almost two months now. You turn on the water with the broken piece, and if you don't like the temperature you have to get a pair of pliers and fiddle with it. It's great! Anyway, there was almost no selection given our requirements, so I get home and of course Larry doesn't like what I bought so he's going to an alternate home depot to see if he can find anything better.

Oh, get this.... Gina has poison oak! At least that was what the phone call diagnosis was this morning. She has sores showing up on her legs and they're swollen. Poor Gina!!! At least she's not dying, we hope!!

holy moly, I always seem to forget how hard IM3 is. I needed to add some breaks in but all my little breaks didn't add up to more than 5 minutes so it couldn't have been that bad. Ugh, and that first blast. I got do the whole first half of it the way intended but then I had to modify with lunges instead of the double hops but that shock to my feet lingered in to the second blast. I don't think there's anything low impact in that workout at all. That said, my new shoes + orthotics did wonderfully. I tacked on Ab Burner too which was way too hard too because I haven't been working my abs. But super glad I worked my abs too. I need to get back in the habit. Man, I was dreading that workout so much I did so many little things too! Too funny. I have to go tutor later (for three freaking hours) but I'm going to see if I can drag Joe for a quick shopping trip before hand...

did any of you guys see Evee's halloween costume? It's not really a halloween costume as I wanted to take pictures of her in something adorable...it's on facebook...

Kit Kats with cheerios? How about three three musketeers bars for breakfast!?!?

I totally want to see all the pics of everyone so get to uploading!

Oh gina...I hope she's feeling better. Did you guys give her benadryl? Our vet had told us to give Evee benadryl because she has a really pink crotch...

Headache 80% better..off to work I go!

Hottie: LOVE Evee's pictures, but I couldn't figure out what her costume said?

WOO HOO on IM3!!!

Gotta run!

yes, you made me laugh!

I'm so lame -- I miswrote it. It says bitches heart me -- wrong way! And once there was this super aggressive female pitbull that tried to mount evee but my little pooch wouldn't have any of that and scared the living crap out of that doggie!

mm...glad that tutoring ended early but methinks shopping may be in order...
