Good morning and Happy Monday. Happy Columbus Day, Happy Thanksgiving, etc.
Kathy, enjoy your recovery week! Let us know what cardio you do today -- always needing "new" cardio ideas here......
Joanne, I did just see your post now -- good to hear from you. Sorry about the DH troubles! It is so hard sometimes. Hugs! Funny about the formal clothes reaction. The quarterback situation is tricky! I can't remember if you said -- are both kids the same age?
Oh, so I ended up getting that bosu workout, too. That's the one I was hoping I could modify, but Mindy said I should just buy a bosu. The other one is Workout! that I did and does not really need a bosu at all -- she shows modifications. I really liked that one. I tried two places yesterday for a bosu and both were out -- one place said there must have been an infomercial about them, because everyone was coming in buying them. Strange! I'm going to try again today -- I'd really like to do that workout tomorrow, if possible.
No luck at the pound, which isn't surprising -- it takes a while. We were at two different pounds all afternoon -- feels like such a waste of the day! Did I already tell you guys this? I can't even remember! Anyway, woke up this morning to evidence of a rodent problem and Larry and my first reactions were both "should have brought home any cat." It's a pretty typical problem where we live and it's not made any better by Larry leaving the door wide open for hours at a time!
I didn't sleep well and then had strange dreams to boot. I think Chris was in one of them! And I woke up to a dream that we were evacuating because there was a fire close by, and I couldn't find anything I needed to make sure we didn't lose in a fire!
Chris, I totally concur with Joanne -- I don't think you should have guilt feelings at all about not going on that DC trip. Perhaps the people in charge need some education as to the risks. Boy, in California I would think the schools would want nothing to do with trying to supervise that situation on their own -- imagine the lawsuit if something went wrong. That's how we think here! Seriously though, stick to your guns and don't feel bad about it. He's still a kid and wouldn't necessarily make the right choices about it, right?
Oh.... my workout! I pulled out kickmax for the first time in a long time, and did quite a mish-mosh from it. I started with the blasts, but only did about half of them, then went back to the combos (because I wanted a real kickbox feel), but realized that was going to bother my shoulder, so only did two combos. Then I ended with the leg drills, which are really just more barre work! I had totally forgotten that that's really what they are. She has a nice long stretch at the end of that one -- I want to try to remember that.
Have a great day, ladies!
