Good morning ladies...

Today will be Disc 9:legs for me...Surprisingly, my legs are doing ok after kickmax yesterday. Today will be a nice quiet day for me. Chris is in PA with his Dad visiting his grandparents and Lauren has an outing with her drawing class. They are going to the Manassas Battlefield park to scetch/draw their surroundings. The class did this last year too and Lauren just loves it...I am going to enjoy a nice peaceful day; workout, run errands, etc...

Be back later..

Hey Kathy!

Hey Everyone!!!

Today is Disc 2 for me, Triceps and Back! Looking forward to it. I'm a bit bummed I probably won't get a workout in tomorrow though. The boys have their flu shots smack dab in the middle of my usual workout time: 10am. And then we'll get home and I have all my Saturday "chores" to do. What can I do? I suppose if I was SUPER motivated, I could get up earlier and do it. I'm just not. I've hated getting out of bed all week at 6am. I want to "sleep in" until 7a on Saturday!!!!

Kathy: Enjoy Legs today!! I forgot to say, i had some pretty major DOMS from DISC 3 yesterday!! Holy cow, every time I went to the bathroom...ZING!.. Today, I feel them still just a little. Hey, enjoy your day too!! I saw a comic in the paper today that reminded me of you. I'll have to see if I can find it online and show you. .... I guess it is still early on Halloween costumes. I just get excited about it early! LOL!

Beth: I think I do remember you saying how you got the costumes early, now that you mention it again. My boys would love that punked out rocker. Jake was Jack Sparrow last year? or the year before. It's a cool costume! LOL that your son has it on the back of his shirt!!! I happen to love Jack myself (but for different reasons... hehehe).

Hey Hottie! Missed ya yesterday!!

*WAVE* to Joanne

*HEY* to Vilma too!!!!

Okay, better go get underway, I have a few more chores and errands today than usual...

BBL!!!

Good morning! No double threads this morning! :)

Kathy, wow, enjoy your solo day! You must not have many of those at all! Sounds like the kids will both have good days, too.

Chris, that comic was funny -- only I thought for sure she was going to hit something harder than coffee. ;)

I think you should just sleep in tomorrow -- cardio can be sacrificed once in a while, I say! As I was doing yoga this morning, realizing how great it makes me feel, I was seriously wondering whether one day of cardio a week would be enough. I woke up with my shoulder a little sore -- I was worried! -- wasn't even really sure I should do the shoulder shape up, but something made me get out of bed and start it. Wow, I'm glad I did -- feels so much better now. I think I've got to try to work that in more than once a week. I had enough time to start previewing her core dvd, but didn't get too far into it.

I'm pretty bummed this morning -- send me some cyber cheer. Travis had a long talk with me last night -- this has been building. He's feeling like everyone in 5th grade thinks he's a loser. With the ADHD, he's incredibly sensitive to noises, and if kids are talking in class, it reallly bothers him. So, he's been shushing them and asking them to be quiet, and of course now they just do it to egg him on and bother him. I'm afraid he's in a bad downward spiral with this and it's so sad because he likes school so much. And, he's such a happy kid almost all the time, and I feel like this is beating him down and could potentially take away some of that happiness he has. I'm so sad about it. I've already sent mail to the teacher asking for a conference. I'm not sure what she can do, really, other than better crowd control in the class. I think I may try to talk to his last year teacher, too, and ask if she has any ideas. Sigh.....

Well, at least it's Friday -- Happy Friday, and OSIF -- to everyone!

Hi ladies!!

((Beth)) and ((Travis)). Oh, that's so hard. I swear when our kids hurt, we hurt too. I can physically feel it when one of my kids are upset - like with Jameson's sleepover last week. Kids can be so cruel and I think 5th grade is a tough age where kids are really started to form cliques and all that fun stuff. I think the one good thing is that Travis feels he can talk to you about it. That's big. I think you're doing the right things - there's not too much you can do to change the behavior of the other kids, but making the teacher aware that's it's bothering Travis will hopefully make her more conscious about controlling it. Just listening to him and him seeing that you're concerned and are going to talk to his teacher makes him feel better, I'm sure.

Chris, I agree - sleep in tomorrow!! I did today and feel great. I actually got 7 straight hours of sleep. That's a rarity for me. I'm going to run on the treadmill during lunch and either take my rest day tomorrow or Sunday.

My abs are soooo sore. I think it's from the KCM abs I did the other day. DH was cleaning the oven last night and sprayed way to much oven cleaner. I was coughing and dying cause my stomach hurt so much. I think I need to do that one more often.

Kathy, wow, I'm jealous ;) - I could so use a day like that!! Enjoy!

We're waiting to hear whether Chicago gets the 2016 Olympics today. Downtown is crazy - media everywhere. I'm not sure if it would be a good thing or not. It was weird - Jameson loves the Olympics, so we were talking about it this morning. I realized he will be 20 during the 2016 and probably away at college! Yikes!!

Have a good day all...BBL...

Joanne

Hi everyone! It's kind of quiet here today. I'm counting down the last hour and a half before the weekend. Although we have another busy one. Kind of bummed. My dad has kidney stones and they've scheduled a procedure twice to blast them and cancelled at the last minute both times. Because his heart is weak, the anesthesiogists are nervous about it and first said they wanted to do the procedure close to a hospital. So, they rescheduled for tomorrow (about 3 weeks ago) at a place close to hospital. Well, they call my mom today and say the anesthesiologist wants to do it IN a hospital. My dad is so bummed - just wants to get it over with. Why wait till the day before to cancel? His doctor is trying to find a hospital that has the machine they use and can do it. Very frustrating.

We have football all day tomorrow and Sunday Jameson has about eight friends coming over to help him film his book report on Hamlet. Should be interesting. He has no script, says he is going to "wing it". He's done it before with two other books, but Hamlet? We'll see!

I did my workout during lunch - itread 2 -40 minutes. I forgot I don't like that one so much. Lots of hills and I don't like hills! I guess it's good for me.

Kathy, how are your legs feeling?

Have a good weekend if I don't make it back here...

Joanne

Joanne, sorry about your dad's procedure being cancelled -- that is tough -- especially so close to the date and everyone is mentally ready for it! You'd think they could have thought of that sooner.

I also saw the thread about Rio winning the Olympics, so I guess you don't have to worry about the impact! There are pluses and minuses, I guess.

Is it homecoming weekend? I think you said so, right? My coworker's daughter is a cheerleader and this is homecoming weekend so there are non-stop events all weekend, it sounds like.

Just back from shopping.... with Larry! We went to find him a new wallet (since I washed his) and some pants and shoes to wear to our "gala" tomorrow night. Success! I bought nothing -- except Red Mango yogurt. Hottie, I got the tangorgasmic, or whatever it is they call it -- it was too sweet for my taste -- the whole point of that kind of yogurt is the tartness! It wasn't at all tart. Disappointing....

Chris, I saw you got your fleece-lined hoodie -- nice!

I'm off to soccer soon..... we were going to do furniture shopping and I was going to show up at the end of soccer, but there wasn't much furniture to see, so soccer it is.

Hey Guys...

Waiting for Greg & Jake to get home from haircuts. Well, just Jake. Greg's hair challenged ;). They go to a barber, and wait. Sometimes for a LONG time...

I did DISC 3, Tri's and Back , this morning. Gosh, seems like 60 minutes for just 2 body parts is a LOT! LOL!. But I did enjoy it, mostly. Wonder if I'll get DOMS since I didn't go to failure on any one exercise.

Beth: YAY for Yoga day! I'm glad you got your stretches in. It's so crazy how good you feel after good stretches, and , speaking for myself, I always talk myself OUT of stretching. I might try to do some general stretches while watching TV tonight. Ya, there's no way I'm getting up early tomorrow! Maybe squeeze in a 20 minute abs, but that would be it tomorrow. I'm sorry about the trouble with Travis. I can totally understand how it would make your mommy heart hurt!! I think talking to the teacher is a great idea, and make sure you keep up with her....

Oh geesh... Greg and Jake are home! BBL to finish!!! :p

Back!

I'm sooo tired, it's been a long day. At least there's no homework tonight... :)

Beth: , Nice you got to go shopping with Larry without the kids! Isn't that like "vacation" when you do that? Hope your soccer game is fun tonight and your team wins!!

Kathy: Glad you liked the comic strip! I chuckled! Wondering how your lower body is feeling tonight after more STS legs!

Joanne: What a crazy thing with your poor father's kidney stones! geesh, the poor guy must be so uncomfortable having them for so long now! .. I'm sorry they're being jerks about the whole thing. Stressful!! ... Yeah, I guess Obama going in person to the Olympic Committee was a waste. Chicago would have been too cool for the Olympics! (though crazy). Too funny about Hamlet with 8 friends... that should be funny! keep warm this weekend!!

Going to go try to pay a bill I couldn't earlier , and try to get on the couch with my book in a few...
