Good morning ladies..

Starting today off with sore muscles. My legs have big time DOMS. It started with the hamstrings and then the quads kicked in by lunch. Wow, sitting down and getting up are tough. It is a good sore though. I feel worked out. Today is Disc 15: back and biceps. I think I will add tomorrow's ab work the pilates abs. Tomorrow is looking to be busy. Chris' team won their 2nd tournament game last night. So, he has a game tomorrow at 10:00 in the morning. That is usually my workout time. So, I will have to get up early or do it when we get back...Anyway, tight schedule!!

Gotta get school lessons started. Be back later..

Hey Kathy!

Everyone to follow!

Going to make this quick for now. I have to go to Jake's class to help out this afternoon, so I'm going to bump up my workout a little. Today is the last workout from MESO 1 for me, DISC 11: Back & Triceps!

Ugh... Just got a call from my supervisor. They're having a meeting on Monday afternoon re: the weekend bonus program that I'm currently working. Things are changing the first of the year, and there are "options" ... Doesn't sound good. Crap. Now I'm a bundle of nerves....

Good morning! I'm so happy it's Friday -- if I were Chris I would post a picture of a happy, dancing, smiling banana or some such! :D

Kathy -- hope you can stretch out those DOMs or something!! Very cool that Chris is progressing in the tournament! Let's hope for another win! (which reminds me, I sent a reminder to someone to bring the after game snack to soccer this weekend and she said her daughter is already planning the victory meal -- funny since they haven't yet won a game!).

Chris, sorry about the work thing! Let's hope it's not a big upheaval to your life! Congrats on getting through meso 1 for the second time! Are you looking forward to your recovery week? :)

I did my PT exercises/stretch again this morning. I figured a sort of work around for the workout muse problem...... there is a setting for max volume on the ipod, and I set that really low, so now my ipod is stuck on max volume but at least the max volume is tolerable -- unfortunately it is just one volume -- can't change it for anything at this point, and I couldn't even get the darn thing to reboot! Crazy. I mailed support at workout muse and they basically said "we've never heard of this problem. Have a nice afternoon." Oh brother!!! If that were my company, we'd at least ask for a lot of info and try to reproduce the problem!! Oh well, it is a $1.99 app! A far cry from our prices......

Anyway, I woke up really early, so after the PT stuff, I did a bosu workout -- nice!

Busy day..... when the boys are in soccer practice this afternoon, I will be setting up for the "Boo Bash" which we are not attending because my kids don't really like it, and we're headed up north a ways to meet our SF friends halfway to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I have a feeling my friend and I will sit outside the theater and yack. That's what we did last time we met for a movie -- we buy the tix and sit right outside the door. It's a small price to pay for alone time when we hardly ever get to see each other!! :)

Have a great day!

Ugh--NOT a good morning! Wake up at 5:30 all set to do my CLX - Burn 3. Go downstairs and there's two freakin' inches of water in the basement!:( This is the second time this has happened. The sump pump did not go on. I jiggled the cord and it started right up. It wasn't loose or anything. What's up with that?? So, my workout was getting all the water into the utility room so it could be sucked up by the now functioning sump pump, picking up all the wet laundry and blankets that were left on the floor. Thank god the TV or computers weren't ruined. We learned from the past to keep the cords high up. Everything needs to be moved and scrubbed - I'm hoping DH does that while I'm here at work. ;) So, needless to say, no workout. I'll try again tomorrow. The boss is ordering pizza for lunch. I'm trying to be good, but don't want to seem antisocial, so I'm taking part. OK, and I love pizza! ;)

Chris, oh, I hope they don't mess up your schedule. That would stink. Congrats on finishing Meso 1 again!

Kathy, congrats to Chris' team on the win!

Beth, that's so weird about the workout muse thing. I guess since the company isn't making much off of it (at $1.99 couldn't be too much), they don't care. Not good customer service, though. Did you do Mindy's Bosu workout again? Have fun at the "movies"! My kids want to see that movie.

Last night was Fall Fest at school. It was fun for the kids, but it's tough to go straight from work to there till 8:30 at night. Then we came home and glued Colin's arctic animals into his diorama. Glad to have that done. On to the village hall this weekend!

Last football game Sunday. Colin won't know what to do with all his time! Saturday night DH and I are going to our church's dinner/dance thing. Still haven't figured out what to do with the kids! Guess we better get on that!

Back to work...

Joanne

hey guys -- I felt so crappy when I woke up I decided to go late into work today. I did SB which I shoulda done yesterday. Yesterday was a weird day...even had a weird panic attack in the middle of it. But I was glad to not do too much last night. I'm debating about doing the experiment planned but right now I just need to get Evee to stop being mad at me for not walking her (her daddy usually does it and couldn't but I didn't either) or giving her enough attention. Seriously, that should have motivated me to go into the studio room since that's the only thing that makes her shut up sometimes! (she knows she can't bother me there.)

Anyway, while I still have internet...

Joanne -- EEEK!!! there's a loose contact there if all you did was jiggle and you can't just see it. I had a similar experience yesterday when a $700 device wasn't turning on. Opened up EVERYTHING in it convinced the fuse had blown and all it was that it has a touchy switch. Hate that. I'm glad that the TVs or computers were fine. and I hope DH scrubs it all up!

Beth -- what crappy CS! (If you read my blog I just posted my recent customer service issues as well.) Sounds like you really like your new toy! The Boo bash sounds cute. I'm not a big halloween fan, Joe is though, and I would have liked to decorate a little but I'm one of those...I'll buy all the accessories AFTER the event so its 90% off people. I have a garage now so I can actually justify buying and storing the stuff. Though...Xmas stuff has been out since September!

Chris -- oh I hope they don't screw with your schedule. my lab meeting got changed to 330 on Fridays (I was thrilled when my boss heard my whining and changed it to two but people pushed it to 330). Seriously, he looked at me and was like, it won't screw you too much. REALLY? Try driving up the 110N on Friday night. I DARE YOU. I hate working on Fridays too. I would much rather take Friday off and work on Saturday. But I'm weird. Wohoo on Meso1!

Kathy -- im either going to do disc 15 tonight or tomorrow based on my energy. SB was so hard because of my hamstrings! SO TIGHT. That's so cool for Chris's wins! I'll admit though -- I hate baseball so much I secretly (or not so secretly) root for the Cubs to suck early in the season so that Joe will give up on them sooner. If they make it to the post season I'll actually hope they maybe could get to the World Series (but only if they bring a goat). Hm. I wonder if Joanne is the only one who got that reference...

TO WORK!! (where I have no internet)

Hottie, thanks, you made me laugh on a crappy day!! :) Yes, I get the goat reference! I don't think you have to worry about the Cubs not stinking early on in the season or making it to the postseason, or at least making it very far if they do. It's been 101 years - ain't gonna happen in our lifetime probably. ;) Yea, I figure there's probably something loose in there. What a pain. Knowing DH he'll have the entire electrical system taken apart without a resolution when I get home. I hate this stuff.

Ugh...ate too much pizza...

HI everyone..

I did my back and biceps with Disc 15...I tried to push it. So, I think I will be experiencing DOMS for sure...We are headed to dinner tonight. We thought we would take the kids out for great report cards. I averaged up their grades and they had all As and Bs...We are really happy about that....

Thanks everyone for the baseball cheers..Chris is so excited. He loves baseball so much! They play game 3 tomorrow morning. That is if the rain holds off. They are calling for some today and tonight and tomorrow. We haven't gotten any yet. So fingers crossed to get the game in tomorrow. The losers bracket also has games tomorrow. The tournament is double elimination...

Anyway....

Chris: Hope it isn't bad news from work..

Beth: Enjoy your visit with your friends and hope the kids like the movie. Mine have showed interest in that one too. I am sure we will get it on Netflix...

JOanne: Oh how horrible having to deal with the water in your basement. Glad your important stuff wasn't ruined..I can never resist pizza. Yum!! Enjoy your dance this weekend..

Hottie: I am not a big fan of baseball. Vic and Chris watch it on tv. But, I usually watch something else or read my books. I like to go watch it in person more. Of course, it is fun to watch my son play. He is really getting good at pitching. He pitched 3 innings last night and had many strike outs..YEAH!!! My hamstring and quads were really sore too. SB was tough with DOMS. But, I do love SB...good luck with disc 15!

ok, talk to you all later..

Joanne, wow, crap! Flooded basement sucks! Especially on a work day! I do hope it's been cleaned up by the fairies by the time you get home!! ;)

Hottie, I saw your dog product review -- how frustrating! So crazy how fast Evee chewed into that bed!!!

Hottie, and anyone who's interested..... I keep forgetting to answer your question about the Core Integration workout. It's another of those Yoga Link Jill Miller ones. I love her shoulder shape up!!! Absolutely love it. The core one I was not as wild about, but let's face it.... who wants to work the core for an hour?! It had some familiar moves and some new, or at least done in a new way. But, some of what she did was trying to get you to really suck in the diaphragm and I don't think I got those ones! I'm not sure it had the desired effect for those. I have her Hip Helpers from netlfix also right now, so I'm thinking I'll do that one after my run on Sunday. I previewed some of it and I think I'll like that one, too.

Off to soccer practice/boo bash set up! Happy evening everyone -- Kathy, sounds like you have a fun family celebration happening!!

Hey Guys...

Not been in the best mood for typing today. I started getting very panicky about what could possibly happen with my job. But, I finally stopped fighting "it" and drank a beer and listened to chill-out Coldplay music, and things got SO much better! Plus I had a wonderful yummy supper (Made a great version of Chicken Spaghetti).

I did do DISC 11: Back & Triceps. Thanks for the kudos on finishing Meso #1, again! :) I do not know how I got my 1 RM's for back rows, I had 70#'s listed! I went with 60/65 and struggled big time !! I wonder if I'll feel it tomorrow? I rarely feel DOMS in my back. I'd actually be ok if I didn't have a recovery week. But considering Monday is the work "meeting" and I won't be able to sleep for crap, the FIRST thing I think of is: Will I miss a workout? Okay, I'm a basket case!

I went to Jake's class to help out with "Centers". It was a WONDERFUL diversion. There's no way I could stress trying to direct 8-10 kids in activities. 2nd graders are very cute!

Beth: YAY! for PT AND Bosu!!! Hope you have fun at the movies (though that is one I really wanted to see, is it 3D?) That's freaky about the computer/iPod program, though I have no idea what you're talking about! LOL!

Joanne: Holy CRAP on the water flood again!! So glad nothing electical got flooded! Hope DH has everything cleaned up nice. .. I don't blame ya on the pizza. I don't have THAT much motivation to give up pizza (or anything else yummy) at work, I swear. Hope you have a nice weekend and Colin wins his final game!!

Hottie: YAY for staying home and doing SB!! That's a fun one and enough to perk you up, right? It's not so much my schedule I'm worried about them screwing me on.. it's the pay. If they take away the bonus, I'd ended up losing $10,000 a year! Not a good thing. Esp with our insurance premiums/costs going up and Zach requiring a LOT of medical. *sigh* That is my main worry. ... It is much nicer to work the weekends than to be caught up in the "rush hour traffic". I do like that!

Kathy: Hope the rain holds off for Chris' game tomorrow! Sounds very exciting!! What a great treat for you guys to go out to dinner with thekids!! And it's always nice to not have to cook and do dishes!..Where are you going/did you go?

That beer really did wonders. ... I'm so much more chilled out without that pit in my stomach! Hope it lasts all weekend!!

Chris, I'm so glad to hear you had a beer and some good music. That'll pick you up! Larry always says that's why people in the movies are always happy: "they always have the right music playing!" :)

The ipod app is actually pretty cool.... did Joanne describe it? You basically can set a timer for any amount of time and then it plays music from your playlist -- you can have it play louder for one interval, and then softer, or you can have the guy say "stop" and "start" (that's what I decided I like). So, say you want to run some intervals..... you could set it up to run 10 minutes steady state, 3 minute interval. Or, five minute steady state, 1 minute interval, or whatever. It is pretty nice for $1.99. I shouldn't complain so much!

70 pounds is really heavy for meso 1, girl! What did you do for meso 3 for goodness' sakes?!

Was your chicken spagetti made with chicken sausage? My darn picky kids.... I got the idea that (because they love Garfield) because Garfield loves lasagna, maybe they would eat it. So I say to Dylan "you know how Garfield loves lasgna?" and without missing a beat he says "oh no! No way am I trying lasagna!" Sheesh!

The 2nd graders are pretty great, aren't they? I had a blast helping them with math the other day. I think part of it was that I felt like I could really do that 2nd grade math, whereas the 5th grade math with it's stupid blocks representing decimal places was scary! :D

It's the weekend! Happy dance!
