Oct Rotation check in 10-13-05 Thursday

That IMAX2/LowMax combo only combination yesterday was a very good 65 minutes sweatfest. I loved it.

I believe I am going to mix up the rotation a little in the next two days because I don't want to do L&G's the evening before I run a 5K. So I believe I'll try to get in L&G's today along with the upper body work and the run. That's a lot of working out but we'll see if I can fit it in.

Couldn't check in yesterday with a hectic night and was really pooped! Off today, but have lots to do and PT. Not sure what I have down for the rotation today. Will talk about yesterdays later.

Today looks exactly like yesterday did here! POURING down rain, windy as heck and cold! x( I don't even have a mall really close by to hang out in but I am tempted to take the ride to one anyway just to get out!!! Not so much for me cause I can find things to do around here but to get poor Joey out. I feel bad for him being in the house for days on end...wether he cares or not, I have no idea! lol

Okay, so I got a call back on that job I applied for online...not sure if it sounds like something I should do or not...sounds a little funky and sounds like it could be tough to make any money doing it...if I post a description would you ladies mind giving me your input? In fact, I think I will create a new thread in a bit and ask everyone's opinnion on it. Please go there and give yours when you see it! Thanks!:)

Kali, yes, I completed my workout....S&H chest/back and ab and 3 mile run. It was a SWEATFEST for sure!!!:p I love Slow & Heavy and always feels like it works me HARD!!

Now I'm off to the showers!
 
Hey Ladies!

How was everyone's afternoon?

Work was great. It's getting easier every day now that I'm learning where everything is. You don't get a break unless you work 6 hours so I have to bring a nutrition bar and sneak bites of it so that I eat something within 3-4 hours after breakfast! I hope it doesn't screw me up. I guess I'll know Sunday when I weigh in.

Hey Kim! How was work? Do you have PT again today? How's the foot doing? Ok I hope.

Hello All:

Today was my last official day to follow anything resembling the rotation--tomorrow we fly to Maui for a week. So I jumped ahead a little and did S&H legs and shoulders. Wanted to get some weight work in for my legs and thought shoulders would be a good thing to round out the biceps/triceps from Tuesday. Chest/Back will have to wait---I can always do pushups, right?

I will be in a condo with access to a DVD, so will bring some of my Cathe that doesn't require equipment (kickboxing) and also run. I also have a resistance cord with handles that I'll bring for "weights"

I never used to work out on vacation--I thought, hey, I'm on vacation, I'll take a break. But now I love to exercise--it's not a chore at all. Thanks, Cathe!
 
Hey ladies,

How is everyone this afternoon? I just woke up from a quick nap. I haven't been feeling good the last two days,don't know exactly what it is. I have been messing up this weeks rotation, and wonder if I should start just next weeks and maybe do some cardio if possible. My strength right now sucks! And also the dh and son are off to the races this weekend and dd and I will be off doing the mother daughter bonding. I kinda confused on what to do. Should I start the whole rotation over again?


Kali- Yes I had PT today and it went okay. The put me on the leg press machine and it hurt more than the last time. They said that its probably getting aggravated because of the new things we are trying. I also had to buy some NB shoes to wear my orthotics in and maybe do some more step and kickboxing. But my attitude is much better about things. :p



Hey Jane- How's it going girly? I wish I was going to the charlotte race this weeked, so we could meet up! But hey! I will go to the May one next year!

Hello everybody... I just finished PUB chest/back and BB TimeSaver chest/back along with Legs&Glutes. I want to get in that run later this evening.

See my distress on the Daily checkin thread. I am having wicked cravings right now mid-cycle. I wonder if it is become I went all last month and did't binge once nor give in to choc cravings. These today are taking on a life of their own.x( I do feel better after working out though. Lord I hope this passes soon. I didn't have any chocolate here at the house but that didn't stop me from sticking my whole face in the PB jar. :p
 
Jane! Take it easy. I'm glad you didn't give in to any cravings. They will pass. Are you eating right otherwise? Do you have any sugar free stuff you could have? Like sugar free jello pudding or jello? You don't have to give in to it Jane. You know that. And the cravings WILL pass I promise. Just remember how you feel after you eat that stuff. You DO NOT want to go THERE again! Keep busy and keep posting. Strong will power vibes & HUGS coming your way!!!

Hi Kim. Sorry to hear you're so tired. I'm kind of beat myself today. I went out last night for a while w/ some friends pretty late. You're foot has to get used to all this stuff you're doing to it. And it will in time. Right? I don't think you should start the rotation over. Just pick up where we are. The w/o's are all pretty much the same every week. See what the others say. Why don't you and DD go to a movie on Saturday? I used to enjoy doing that with my Mom. A long time ago that is LOL!

Hey Kim.. yes, we'll have to get together when you are down in May. I'm glad the foot is continuing to improve.

Kali - I'm doing okay I guess... I did go overboard on PB today and had a few peanuts. All high-fat stuff but no sugar. I have resisted the urge to go to the store for chocolate, specifically dark chocolate. The workout helped some but these cravings are really bad this month.

Don't worry about the high fat stuff. We need fat. Just try to stay away from the sugar. It's deadly. Sugar is as deadly for you as a drink is for me. You'll get thru this Jane. And I will always be here for you......

Thanks guys... I'm going out to run now and see if I can outrun this misery... I despise feeling this out of control. I'm not doing anything heroic by resisting because I don't have it in the house, but I am resisting driving to get it though. If I had it here, it would have been gone in an instant.

I wish I could hibernate from mid-cycle on. ;(

Jane, everyone gives into an urge or a craving once in a while. Don't beat yourself up over it!

Kali, 6 hours before a break!? YIKES! :eek: I thought any work place had to give you a break after 4 hours??? Hmmm...I could be wrong though. Well, keep snacking on that (hidden) protein bar. It's better than nothing! I'm sure you'll be fine in the weight department. :) The only thing I would personally worry about is getting SUPER HUNGRY and then being ravenous when I COULD eat.

I don't know if I had posted it here or not but I started to feel crappy while I was feeding Joey this morning. Well, I never did feel any better until late in the day and by then I did not have the time nor the inclination to do ANY form of MIC-substitution or otherwise! :p So...since I got my Christi Taylors I decided to give her a go instead. I got in 45 minutes of cardio and burned about 450 cals doing a little bit of all 4 of her vids...2 step and 2 hi lo.

I'm not crazy about them at all...atleast not yet...I will continue to use them when I can though and maybe she'll grow on me. The w/o's I bought are older ones so I wonder if the newer stuff would appeal to me more?? I found the arm movements to be VERY confusing especially when paired with intricate foot work. She also did not break the moves down well enough IMO. Most who have tried her here seem to love her though so maybe it's just me?? :p During the step w/o's if I was at a loss I could usually find a movement of Cathe's that is similar and fit the pattern so I'd use that instead. I also used alot of Cathe's arm movements when I wasn't liking Christi's.

Anywho...

I may do coremax and/or stretchmax at some point tonight also.

Tomorrow is ME and then on saturday the rotation calls for a walk/run and since I'm not a runner I will probably opt to throw my imitation MIC in on that day instead! }(

Just finished my run, now hitting the showers. That wasn't a fun run at all!! I'm too full of PB.:p


Wendy I have those four DVD's of Christi Taylor, Fantastic Four or something like that. I've done one of the step w/o's once. The footwork was so intricate, I had a very hard time following it and no she doesn't break it down as well as Cathe does. I don't like her as much as I do Cathe.
 
Jane, so it's not just me then, huh? Cool! :p

Ended up doing Coremax # 2 and Stretchmax # 1 just before. :)

Have to wake up Joey from his nap in a few for his last bottle....
