Hey Guys!

For once I can say "HAPPY SATURDAY!"

My schedule is changed up on Saturdays now with Zach's paper route. He has to deliver papers and collect by 11am. So I'm going to have to re-arrange my usual Sat. workouts if I can get them in. But today I'm free as a bird! We'll go in a bit to do the papers, and then I'm going to start up making Glumpki for our supper tonight when we get back. Will do my workout after that.

I'm planning on a long cardio today. Maybe one of the oldie steps or RS and then some abs.

I ate HEALTHY yesterday, but too much of healthy. Oh, and I topped it off with Fluff at the end of the day  Feeling the need to burn some of that stuff !!

BBL!

Hi everyone....

Getting ready to do some vacuuming that I didn't do yesterday and I have planned some cardio. After being disappointed with Rumble yesterday, I was thinking of something off cardio hits or my fav RS...

Chris: I was think of RS today too. I felt I needed a good one after being a bum all week with my workouts. I think I am ready to get back to STS on Monday too...Enjoy the Glumpki..

It's so quiet here today...

SPooooky!!

So I did the same step I did from Cardio Hits last time: Step Works. A good ol' fashioned sweaty step workout. And this time i finished it too. It wasn't hard to finish it like last time. I think last time I was getting over the flu?. Anyways, good stuff. I then did 3/4's of Seg #1 off of COREMAX. I pooped out the last 5 minutes.

The glumpki are in the oven., making my house smell soooo good! I'm getting hungry!...

Wow! After five full days of no internet at home, Larry finally got it working! This was just insane. And get this.... the guys who gave him the new part or whatever gave him instructions that said "download this whatever s/w". Ok, pardon my french, but how tf are you supposed to download with no internet?! Sometimes they just don't think. Poor Larry had to make two trips to the office today for this -- it's an hour round trip. And, at one point I was with Dylan at a birthday party and we were expecting a kid to come over for a sleepover, so he left Travis at home alone! No sleepover, it looks like. Those people probably have storm fallout, too, and neither one of us has each other's phone numbers! The boys were hugely disappointed. Ok, that's all of my ranting.... oh, except to say that it went over 80 degrees here today, so I'll rant about that too! :)

I did a weight workout today! I did Jari Love's Extremely Ripped 1000, only because it had been top in my netflix queue because I didn't have a chance to rearrange with no internet, so that's what they sent. I'm not a Jari fan, for the most part, but I heard good things about this, so wanted to see it. I actually liked it. Sure, it's got her compound moves all over it, but it was a nice quick workout (that went over an hour!!). There are two different "short" workouts that are also combined into one long workout (which is what I did), and then you can do weights separately or cardio separately. I did the cardio on the bosu -- it was easily modified for that, and my legs are already screaming! The things I didn't like: their outfits (OMG!) and the look of all the exercisers -- no body fat, really muscular but not in a flattering way if you ask me! Oh, and Jari's form on squats and lunges is just pathetic in my opinion. Ok, there you have it.... the good, the bad, and the ugly (outfits).

Soccer today -- Travis' team finally had a tie -- it was great -- they played really well, and had a lot of goal attempts, but darn that other goallee was good!!! Dylan didn't do so well in the box today and at one point got kicked and cried enough that they put someone else in. I really thought it was his pride that was hurt more than his leg, but I had two dads (including one coach) come up to me and ask about him because they saw the kick and said it looked bad (I didn't see it). He went back in in the last quarter, so I was proud of him. And, they didn't score on him then. Whew!

I heard the Where the Wild Things movie is scary for Dylan's age (8) and younger, just fyi. Two moms today had already seen it (with their kids, who were scared).

Ok, I'm going to check up on things -- I feel very out of it!!!

That's the weather here this morning, but we're heading out to do the JDRF Walk! Got my thermals on! And Zach is so sweet. I told him (and his brothers) they could spend the morning at Grandma's and I'd go alone. But Zach didn't want me to walk alone, and he insisted he would come with me. My hot-blooded Alex said he's coming too and promises he won't complain (I have the feeling he'll be the only one that won't!)

Beth: OMG, 5 days without internet! THAT sucks! That weather wreaked havoc there, huh? Hope things get settled too. How are the kitties and Gina doing? Did you name them? .... How is your shoulder feeling with the weight work? The Chiro said it was ok to lift weights? I have the original Jari's 1000. She just doesn't grab me as an instructor, really. Not like Cathe. Or Mindy or even Gin Miller (Love her!).

Okay, gotta put more layers on! Will BBL!!!

Good morning! I love your weather picture, Chris! I hope the walk is fun and not too cold! Good for your boys!!!!

I know what you mean about Jari -- I just really can't stand to do her workouts anymore -- the ones I own. But, because I heard people saying this new one was good, I just had to try it out -- thank goodness for netflix. I did like this one better, but don't think I'd want to own it.

The chiro told me I could lift weights without lifting anything over my head, but I also know I should avoid pushups or anything with that kind of motion. So, I skipped Jari's chest presses and flies, and also the overhead tricep move. I subbed in kickbacks for those, and for the chest work I subbed in a run to the ice and water for a refill. :D I guess I'm supposed to get some sort of exercise training at the chiro, but I don't know if I have to schedule that separately, or what. I thought she was going to do it Friday, but she didn't, and I knew she was in a hurry to get to SF to watch her college-aged daughter play in a soccer game. I'll ask tomorrow when I go.

The kittens are sort of figuring out that Gina won't hurt them. She is being soooo good! It's obvious she wants to play with them, but we yell at her and they hiss at her, so she's learned to keep some distance. Last night Larry made them cuddle up together -- it was amazing. I think the one kitten actually liked it, so I think it won't be long until they're all buddies. Larry did get some pictures of that last night, so if they turn out, I'll point you to them. I don't know exactly what is wrong with our camera. I know when we were on vacation this summer and hiking, I bumped it. Felt horrible -- but it seemed fine after that -- for a while. Then suddenly it's not so great, so we don't know.....

I did a P57 workout this morning. That Tanya is pretty darn obnoxious! But, it was a good workout. I'm hoping we'll go for a walk later -- before it gets too hot! So strange to have this weather. It's really not untypical for October, but after the giant storm it seems so strange!!

I really want to clean out the house today, and I mean get rid of stuff. We have a giant beanbag that everyone but Gina hates, and it takes so much room -- stuff like that!!! Let's hope I can motivate Larry........

have a great day!

Oh, wait.... meant to ask Joanne.... have you ever done KCM's plyo workout as is? I remember people talking about how their core was so sore the next day. Well, I did it two days ago, I guess it was.... and, I can't believe it, but I am so friggin' sore in my abs! Wow!!! I didn't want to do any ab work at all today!!

Hi ladies..

I have been busy today....I decided to do some baking that I seem to never have time for these days..I made some big soft pretzels, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies and I made a chicken/broccoli quiche for dinner. I am looking forward to trying it. I have been eager to try some new things as I was getting bored with the same old dinners...

Anyway, I decided to do all that instead of doing a workout. I want to start back to meso 2 rested tomorrow...

Beth: Glad you got the internet up and working again. I would be crazy not having access for 5 days. Sounds funny. But, I am so used to it! I get that urge to sweep through the house getting rid of stuff too. But, Vic is such a pack rat that he would have a fit for sure!

Chris: I ended up doing RS yesterday. I felt so great. I love that one. Step Works is a good one too. I forget which ones are which off those oldies DVDs. But, most of them are great workouts and super tough on the 8" step..Hope the walk went well. We are finally having a day of no rain. We have had rain since Thursday...and it has been chilly too.

Beth: I love netflix for that same reason to try them first.
