Good Morning Ladies.

I plan on KPC - its been awhile since I did a kickbox workout w/ Cathe. So that'll be my cardio for today since I'm saving my legs for CCPP + add on challenge on Sat.

I reviewed AOS Newport last night (It looks tough) so I'm thinking I'll be doing a section at a time as an add on prior to starting my regular kettlebell workout just to learn the new moves until I feel comfortable to do that entire dvd with proper form.

Hellos to all that follow & have a great day !

Hi Vilma, and everyone! I have KPC coming up one of these days, I think. I'm going to try for ccpp Saturday, too, though I guess I'll be doing it on the elliptical, because I'll need it done before it's very light out. We have lots going on Saturday. Newport does indeed seem tough, just from looking at the clips -- I decided to wait on ordering it. Also, do you need two kettlebells (of the same size) for it? That was my impression.

I'm embarrassed to tell you guys what I did this morning..... I did a Leslie Sansone 4 fast mile workout. One foot is bothering me a bunch lately, and I have no desire to do step -- well, the desire is there, but I know it's not a good thing for me right now. I want to find something else to do that's low impact, so I netflixed the Leslie. I would say it was a decent workout, but definitely not as intense as I'm used to. I burned 50 more calories than some turbo jam, for whatever that is worth. I wore weighted gloves and upped the intensity throughout. For whatever reason, I cannot seem to tone down the intensity when I'm doing a workout, but I can easily up it, so doing a Cathe at lower intensity just doesn't work for me. I was going to wear a weighted vest, but the one I have is not comfortable, and I thought it might hurt for some of the higher intensity stuff. Vilma, you have Cathe's vest, right? Have you done any cardio in it, and if so, how was the comfort? Seems like it would be better since it's sand, not hard blocks with sharp corners!

Hope everyone has a nice Thursday.

'Mornin' everyone! Vilma! Beth!

I was really thinking hard about a run today, and I may still do it. But it was 30 freakin degrees out this morning, and at that time cloudy

! The sun is out now, so maybe this afternoon I'll head to the park for a little runny-poo.

Instead, I did Turbo Jam: Cardio Party. This one really works my core, and makes me sweat. Afterwards I did a odd Yoga tape, which was nice for stretching, and even had a few minutes of meditation at the end

. Very nice! I'm going to maybe dip more into that meditation in the next few days. I have a tougher weekend coming up. DH is working right through too, Saturday and his turn to work Sunday. So we have sitters all weekend, and I have to "do" Monday by myself. Deep breathing! Not food bingeing!

Vilma: KPC is a goodie! i toyed w/ the idea of doing that this morning, but I just wanted a teeny break from Cathe. I'm sure you'll enjoy! The KB workouts sound tough! Good idea on taking it on in pieces. Hope your daughter is feeling better and your other daughter doesn't get strep too!!!! (Are you taking your zinc???)

Beth:
Hey, whatever works,! Don't be embarassed! If you wore weighted gloves and upped the intensity, it's all good! I know some days I do low impact workouts because of my "injury" or soreness, and I'm still able to up the intensity. Vilma has a different weighted vest. I have the "Cathe" one. I did Step, OFF the step, with it once. It was ok, but with jumps or higher impact it bounced on and off my back. It didn't HURT, but I had to get used to the feeling.

Off to get a snack and then to do some shopping with hubby.... The boys always need SOMETHING, I swear!

BBL!

Chris -- oh, that's right.... you mentioned that about the vest once before, didn't you? I was just wondering if I ought to splurge on one (and it would be a splurge, since I have one already) for cardio stuff where there's more movement. I don't know.... think I'll delay a bit.

Good luck getting through the next few days -- sounds *tough*!! When you want to eat something bad, have a glass of water first. That's my new strategy, since I have not been able to stop myself lately. I anticipate a lot of calories burned walking to the bathroom. :)

Hi Ladies

Today I decided to do Terminator Imax Xtreme:eek:, and I only made it trough the first 50 mins, then I couldn’t keep on. I’m feeling a little sick and don’t have that much energy, but I did what I could. One thing though, I thought of you all when the “Buttercup” song came on:D, lol!!

Chris: 80 DVDs are a lot too! And if you ordered the STS you probably are going to reach over 130 right? Thanks for the feedback on CM/CK. I think I will pass on that one then. I’ve heard a couple of people not liking it either so that’s why I haven’t bought it yet, and now I won’t. WTG with CP!! I miss my TJs! I should have NEVER sold them, oh well. I can’t believe its 30 degrees up there!! WOW! COLD!!

Vilma: Oh no! I hope your daughter gets better soon from the strep throat, and I hope your son is not getting it. Last night while I was sleeping I felt my throat hurting and I still do. I think it’s the weather change. Wow! I’m so glad to hear you had Lasik surgery and that you love it! I’m so excited about doing that one day. The doc said that I had to wait till my vision slowed down from changing and it’s in that stage right now, WOOHOO. Have fun with KPC!! I haven’t done that one in a while.

Beth: WTG on your workout today! I’ve never tried a leslie sansone workout, but all that matters is that you did something:). WTG!

Going to get my dd soon from school. DS is about to get up any minute and I have to do KitchenMax:eek:. I hope you all have a great day today!

HI everyone..

Too busy today to get any workout in today. So, I am resting today...Yesterday I did S&H chest & back...

Have a great evening everyone!!!

Hello Friends!

Just peaking in here quickly...

Beth - never be embarrassed about any type of workout you did! Never!

I have the adjustable CoolVest vest that I got from IronWear Fitness it fits very nice and its very comfy.

As far as your question about my Lasik I have not had any issues; my vision has stayed 20/20 so far after surgery thanks goodness! I actually had this doctor personally do my eyes: http://christenbury.com/docs.html its where I went.

AOS Newport uses just the one kettlebell. I can't wait to do it but like I said it has new exercises in there that I'm not familiar with so I'm taking my time and using each section as an add on for now. Plus he goes pretty quick and it looks tough. I've read AOS Firepower is the dvd that uses two kbells.

Chris I'm taking Airborne which has some zinc along with Emergen-C . My son is the one who is now not feeling well:(

Kettlebells use your body differently than traditional weight workouts, if you can do Cathe you can do kettlebells lol

Ivy Felling a little sick? And you do Imax Extreme! WOW! You go on with your bada$$ self :p

My youngest daughter is doing really well thanks to the antibiotics - now its my 16 yr old son who is felling crappy and he's the one who refuses to take off from school (He's a type AAAAAA personality, 3rd in his class of over 300 and overall genius smartass buttdinski) He'll be fine as right now even sick he's being an ass to his sister

Kathy Remember to take some time for you

Ugh I need to get off here and calm these kids down thery're argueing yet AGAIN sighs

Hey Guys..

God am I tired! I wonder how it would be to have NOTHING to do one day, and have the day drag by. think that will ever happen before I'm 70 and retired?

Maybe one week day we should just order out for supper. It seems like I bust my buttocks to get this elaborate dinner on the table (Pork chops in Pan Mushroom Gravy, Mashed Red Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus w/ garlic, Bulgar , for me, and applesauce. Oh and salad!). And I get it done within an hour and 10 minutes AND feed the cats AND do some laundry!

We did have a nice shopping day. We went to Costco! I love that place! Although I can't get out of there spending less than $200, I swear. I bought myself a nice present too: the softest, palest pink , warmest PJ's! I can NOT wait to put them on !!!

BUT.. I had a crapass afternoon. I went to the park to run. Great, right? It was great, up until I was 3/4's of the way around the field, and my calf pulled. I had to stop. I was so getting into my music too. *sigh*. I can walk fine on it, and it's FINE now. I guess that's good?! But I'm super bummed about not being able to run. :(

Beth: Yeah, twas me and the vest. If I were you, I'd probably wait too. There ends up not being a ton of opportunities to wear it anyhow. Although I thought about wearing it for a run. But now I CAN'T RUN! . I'll try the water this weekend. I drink a ton anyways, but maybe if I down a few glasses in a row, it will work.

Kathy: Hope you get some TRUE rest today!

Vilma: Ooooh , it's your son that is getting sick, Sorry! I hope he's able to fight it off, but pushing himself isn't going to help!! And arguing with his sister isn't going to help either! tell him I said so!!

Going to finish my tea and then finish the laundry.... AND get the boys to bed, so I can get in my snuggly PJ's and watch Grey's Anatomy!!!!

Oh, Ivy! Forgot to
229.gif
at you doing IMAX Extreme feeling ill! you nut you!!! Hope you feel better!!! Yeah , 80 is alot, I agree! And yes! after STS I'll have WAY more and almost catch up to you. I'm also going to get CTX in a few weeks, when my Amazon.com gift certificate comes in! Maybe you should get those TJ's back so I don't surpass you!
