Just getting us started today.

Had a busy weekend w/ my FIL visiting and now today I need to tackle Cleanmax since it didn't get done over the weekend, not much since I do something just about everyday thank goodness.

The Kettlebell Way for me today.

I need to go back and see what I've missed

Hi Vilma! and Everyone! Monday morning..... I woke up without the alarm. Did Squeeze, minus arm work, and then the Sara Ivanhoe yoga (I almost said "yogurt") before I send it back. This morning I'm going to have my arm x-rayed. My elbow has a sort of burning in it at times, and it's still really sore when it gets bumped. My husband felt it and said it didn't feel right in there. I told my husband I feel like I'm being a wimp and he said "you'll really feel like a wimp when they have to re-break it to set it right." So, he convinced me.

Vilma, one thing you missed is that we got a dog yesterday. A border collie mix we have named Gina. She's actually named after a girl in book series I'm reading to the boys. The main character is a girl named Georgina, but she wants to be a boy, so makes everyone call her George. Well, she has a dog named Timmy, which was a huge reason my boys so wanted a dog. I wanted to name the dog Timmy, but the boys said we couldn't name a girl dog "Timmy". So, I said, "what about George? She's a girl with a boy's name" and the boys said, "let's name her Gina!" There's a connection there.... really, there is.

I'm off.... have a great day!

you both are so funny...

nothing too long for me right now...have a TON of experiments to get done hopefully before most people start rolling in. After a certain point though I'm going to head to the SC gym...I think Imax2 and BM2 has made my body want something a little lighter aerobic wise...but I told my DH that I definitely want to do B&G tonight since I didn't get to yesterday.

Have a good day!

Well I am done w/ today's w/o.

I decided to use my old small mens weight gloves as an experiment to see how they would work with the kettlebell and bad mistake . My palms feel cut up and it was due more than likely because those gloves don't fit 'my' hands like a glove as they tend to be a bit big.

So now my palms hurt and feel raw :( I should have not even bothered with those dumb gloves. More than likely I'll be goingto get a pair of female fitness gloves that fit just right for my hands as those stupid gloves made my hands hurt bad - ouch.

Beth
- no I had no idea about the dog. I decided to just wing it and y'all can fill me in on what I missed.

Gina is such a cute name and sounds special for this new member of your family. Your kids must be so happy with her.

Hottie How are you feeling? Better I hope.

Take care all

Hey Guys !!

Quick (but I'm never quick) check in today...

I ate like a maniac yesterday, (the only thing that let up on my headache, until I could come home and sleep), so today instead of just weights, I felt I needed a sweat too. So I did HSC, 51 Minute Premix.

Vilma: Ouch on the hand weights with the kettlebells! Hope it's not a long lasting hurt!... Good luck with cleanmax today...

Beth: YAY for a doggie!! I'd forgotten about your cat with 19 lives! . Your new doggie addition sounds awesome!! I love the way you picked her name too. You HAVE to show us some pictures!!! . Good luck on your arm too. Good decision to get the xray!!! You are as crazy as me getting in workouts with a boo-boo arm

Kathy:
HOw do you like that hi/lo Dome workout?

Hottie: Hope your experiments go /went well. And cardio and B&G, you go girl!!! ... Yes, my headache finally went away, with SLEEP! THAT was the problem, and no way to fix it last night at work (though I did doze for 5-10 minutes on break).

We're off to pick up some pumpkins!

See you guys later....

Chris are your kids not in school today? My kids have school -- I have mixed feelings about that! :) We're off Friday though -- hmmm, maybe we should go pick pumpkins then.... nah, let's do it on the weekend when it's really crowded. :) Hope you had fun!

Vilma, I meant to ask you about gloves and if you had blisters. I had a problem on my right hand where I wear a ring, so I've taken that ring off. Funny enough my wedding band/rings didn't seem to be a problem. Hope you get some gloves that fit and that they help!

Hottie, have fun with B&G tonight, you virgin.... :)

Here's Gina":

you can click on any one of the pictures to see it bigger, and flip through them that way -- if you're interested!

Oh yeah... duh! I forgot to tell you about the x-ray -- I guess there's no major problem. They took two x-rays and then whatever the dr. saw made her want to see one more view, so they did another. She said, "if it continues to hurt come back and there's one more view we can do." and I'm thinking.... why not just do it now? Well, whatever.... I guess I am just a wimp! I didn't get a chance to ask her about working out more. When I was doing the yoga this morning, even though it was lower body focused, I could feel some burning in my elbow. Oh well......

-Beth

howdy...had a really productive morning. lots of experiments (we'll see if they worked out ok in 2-3 days) and got for a nice time at the gym. The gym has personal tvs at almost every cardio machine so I can get my cable political fix for an hour while I'm there. saw a former student while I was getting ready to leave so it was nice to see how she was doing.

Vilma -- thanks for asking how I'm doing! I'm much better, bug buddy! The norovirus was more annoying than anything else. Other people got much sicker than me (I think the count is now like 700+ kids) but I could for the most part get through it. I'm sorry about the gloves. I had tried getting weight lifting gloves when I was doing a lot of circuits but I ended up returning them. I wanted them so when I grabbed some of my DH's dumbbells, it wouldn't irritate me so much but then if I had to gloves on during the cardio sections, my hands would itch furiously. Sorta defeated the purpose. :( But at least you played with your KB. I overheard the staff at the school gym talking about stocking up the MPR with kettlebells so I'm looking forward to trying them out there.

Beth -- LOL (about the virgin)! And omigosh, I wanna steal your dog. She looks so regal! Hey, now its getting cold(er) you can maybe get a puppy footwarmer. I used to make my dog sit on my feet as I read in the fall time and she was by far the best footwarmer I've ever had in my life. Fuzzy, warm, and everyonceinawhile, a nice scratchy lick on my toes. Squee! So cute.

Chris -- well, I'm glad that headache went away! so, when you say that food makes it better...and sleep makes it better...could it possibly be like a drop in your blood sugar? I'm not diabetic (everyone on my mother's side is) but I remember having headaches like that. I once grabbed my mother's testing device and yeah, when I got those headaches it was much lower that I usually have it (also my BP was lower too...I already have low BP but it really drops when I get these headaches). The sleep might be giving you time to regulate the levels or something. Still, I feel totally silly in saying any of this to you since you probably checked since your a nurse and a mom so you are most likely an expert!! But it came to my head so I thought I'd write it down.

Kathy - hope you had fun with the dome challenge!

Alrighty, hope you all had a good day!

Hey again!

We had a nice afternoon, I must be PMS'ing, because I had tears in my eyes more than once from the beauty of the day. It was so beautiful!!

I'll post some pictures tomorrow..

Beth: Yes, the boys were off today from school! OMG, I hate crowds! you're a nut! go on Friday!! .... Awwwwwww!!!! ... Gina is such a cutie pie! Look at that face!! I love her, Beth!! Hope her first night at home goes well!! Weird about the doctor just not getting the 3rd view. Do be careful though... I know you will....

Hottie: Glad you got in your endorphin fix at the gym! and it does feel great to get things done, I agree (since I'm a major procrastinator!). ... Hmmmm... Not sure about low blood sugars causing my headaches. It wasn't AFTER I ate that the headaches went away, it was DURING, like the distraction of chewing helped. It's weird to describe. And I kept a steady flow of food going , so my blood sugars really shouldn't have had time to drop!

Almost time to send the boys to bed....
